Epiphanies, Magick And It's Purposes, Knocking down Obstacles Options

I had an epiphany of sorts today. Specifically in relation to obstacles.

Formerly I'd always focused on trying to remove assorted obstacles in my life to achieving the things I wanted to achieve. But for some oddball reason today - for the first time ever - I realized the only REAL obstacle I've ever had is my 'attitude' toward life's obstacles.

For example:

I'd been doing the Esoteric Lakshmi Mantra daily

Om Gum Shrim Maha Lakshmiye Swaha


But then today it occurred to me all along I'd been thinking 'If I just do this mantra enough it will remove life's difficulties'. However, I recently realized there is no such thing as a 'life without difficulties' even if you use Magick (I view Mantras as a specific type of Sound/Resonance Magick). The only really 'permanent' magick is a change that takes place internally in dealing with them. Once I had the realization today that my life will never be without obstacles (only their form will change) it changed how I view the purposes of Magick and it's applications such as Mantra. In otherwords....the real obstacle that Mantra was to knock down was my 'attitude' toward obstacles. The outward form of difficulties could also change but the only REAL obstacle that needed permanent change was inside me.

Have any of you had similar epiphanies? What purpose do you see in your use of Magick (in whatever form you practice it, etc)?

That's great. I sometimes have revelations over big or small things. For me, it usually is a sudden realization about something I already "knew" but suddenly comprehend. I think there's a huge difference between knowing something and comprehending the nature of something due to an epiphany. It's really cool that you just had this epiphany because that sudden lightbulb going off is a great feeling. I think that activities such as magic lead to many more of these events than would otherwise occur.

Having an epiphany over something- anything really, is one of many of those incommunicable rewards that magic offers. I hope you have many more in the future. Be sure to make note of them somehow, because they can fade in memory and might seem less important when you need it most.
