Hi All. So, I have recently had a kind of breakthrough experience and realized that I want to move to Portland, where my closest spiritual family is, because of them and for other reasons relating to wanting to continue to explore rather than settle my feet in the red Georgia clay.

I have, in this endeavor, begun to plan my trip which will begin approximately August 31st.

On the way, I have a particularly ambitious project in mind.

Last summer, I buried a crystal at a place of power, an ancient ceremonial site that is still cared for and maintained in north georgia. I spent time meditating there, and I linked the crystals on the fly, as it were. Very crudely, and the link is very weak, but I do get the same vibe by placing my awareness into the linked crystal during meditation. I dowsed with a pendulum for the appropriate burial point.

Well, it got me thinking about making a much stronger link by carving seven crystals - six with the same sigil on each of six faces, and a seventh with one face bearing a sigil from each of the others. I've done something like this with other applications before, creating sympathetic links between two things in a variety of ways. These I'll carve and then blood, much like carving runes. Then I'd like to take each of the six crystals to places of power across the US and bury them there, making the seventh into a kind of link/receptacle through which those energies can be accessed.

So far the one linked crystal I have created has a tendency to simply take me into the solemn reverie that I felt at the mounds in north GA. Very quiet, but also a sensation of... biding, I guess, waiting for something. A kind of calm anticipation that, in terms of utility, I have found is an excellent precursor state to ritual work. Going into that state using the crystal is extremely easy. Just closing my eyes and kind of moving into and through it along the philotic line is like getting warm by stepping into hot water - your mind just goes there, your energy makes a natural shift.

So I want to do the same thing with much greater places of power. However, finding a decent list of them is proving to be kind of difficult. I wonder if anyone has put any significant study into the subject of North American Places of Power, vortexes, etc., and if you'd mind helping me with either links or suggestions. I'm going to try and take a route that at least goes through new mexico, because there are some sites in general there that I've always wanted to see. I will also, I think, swing by the grand canyon because, I mean, it's a cross country tour. Why not?

I have the freedom to take a winding path from one corner to the other, and plan on taking my time and enjoying the journey as well as creating links to six of these places.

The purpose, is to have access to those places and their states remotely and easily in a talismanic sense, and to be able to use the same sigils for the creation of sympathetic links to other talismans as well.

I am looking currently, and will continue to. But my main difficulty is that although there are some lists of places, there is very little discussion on the actual nature of the places. That is to say, on the tone of the power there.

peace

I've wondered sometimes about Ley Lines or Dragon's veins. There are maps of ley lines in Britain but I have never seen any maps that encompass North America. I've googled using different wording at different times but haven't ever found much. I'm not even sure how much I believe in the ley line theory, but I do believe that some areas are much richer in energy/qi than others and it seems to be due to the geographical land formations. I know that the energy is much more abundant at the bottom of the escarpment I live near to. And different parts of the country have different feeling energy. I tend to rely on my feelings for a lot of things even though feelings are subjective. The Chinese explanations for this are part of feng shui theory and I think are valid. But I don't think that anyone has drawn maps of North America, however if anyone comes across something like that, post a link.

Good luck on the cross country move. I don't envy you starting up a new practice somewhere new. I've been in a couple of clinic startups and generally it is a lot of prep work and not much money at first--unless you pay out megabucks for prominent and eye catching advertising. But if you are a two income family it will make it a lot easier.

Don't worry. It'll only seem kinky the first time.

Well, I picked up additional work with California Psychics - I read for Psychic Source a while back but couldn't keep up their minimum hours while working 60-70 at the office and trying to be available for clients there. I'm starting that in the next few days, and will hopefully be making decent call volume by the time I get to Portland. I'm in contact with a few locations in the area as well to do readings, reiki, and possibly hypnosis as well. So I'm going to start out kind of travelling around first, being social, passing out cards, etc. When it looks like there's enough interest, I'll open up a very small office, or rent an loft apartment in the city (an office is less expensive!) and start taking clients there. But I don't know that I'll want to open up a clinic on the scale that I did here. I'll more than likely simply work on my own for the foreseeable future. However, being that I will no longer be in the southeast US buckle-of-the-bible-belt, I'm also going to start offering classes on tarot and psychic development, selfcare and holistic wellness, massage for couples and homecare, etc. And there's a possibility I may actually pick up a teaching job at a massage therapy school there as well. The goal ultimately, though, is to open private practice.

I've looked at the coordinates Fatherjhon gave, and I believe I understand basically how to identify the dragon's veins and dragon lairs. I found some relevant resources discussing the form school feng shui as well. This was very helpful, Fatherjhon, thank you!
