If he had something to do with it why would it be necessary to be out of the area. Besides when was the last time any of these guys rode subways and buses?? Some of these might be suspicious but not being present in the area doesn't seem to have any relevance. You stated that you used to live in the UK and moved to New Zealand, does this somehow show you are involved? (Not making accusations only making a point!)
