One other thing. Why is their such concern over national I.D. cards and the idea that this is some kind of hideous evil plot? This same thing has been proposed in the U.S. and I don't thing it would change the amount of privacy I have at all. If a credit card company can call me with my full name and address to offer me a card and I receive random junk mail addressed perfectly to me I don't see how much harder it would be for anyone else to find me now. Don't people have some sort of I.D. already for National Health Care or some similar program? If you ever step outside of your house (or even by owning a house!) you really have no privacy left. What privacy rights would change by having a national I.D.?
