I am with Alafair here. The time is the present and if love stared me in the face I would take it eagerly regardless of a past life's interference. In any case, it would not matter because it is only the physical that is at stake in this instance.

The marriage of minds is what counts and if it had been a sibling or parent whom you were in love with now, just think of the great friendship which you would merely be rekindling, or the healing of great wounds. Love conquers all.

Another point to bear in mind that we are all part of the Oneness already - just facets of a single great gem, or fragments of the same. So we are already committing an "incestuous" act by participating in all physical relationships.
