Origin of Thought, The psychological and esoteric views

In your opinion, how and where does thoughts originated? --------------------

I comprehend that *some* thoughts don't originate from my mind - because some thoughts that I have originated from the respective minds of others. However: *all* thoughts that I have don't originate from the minds of others. My mind is a thinker. Thoughts can originate from the thinking process of my mind, and from the thinking process of others' respective minds. If the claim is that my mind isn't the thinker of the thoughts I have - indeed, if the claim is that my mind isn't a thinker at all because some soure beyond my mind originates my thoughts - then I wonder: What's the purpose for that claim being made? Why do such claimants want me to accept that thoughts I have don't originate from my mind?
