An interesting thought on the astral plain.

Recently I was reading Carl Jung (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mf_bookread.gif) and came upon the idea of the universal Whole; (Or at least this is how I interpreted it) the basic concept is that all human minds are fundamentally the same and that the way they work is so closely linked that there is a way that we unconsciously talk with each other. He used this as a way of explaining god. However the same principle could be put to explaining loused dreaming, astral projection, spirits, and divination. Any one else noticed this? The idea seems to be sacrilegious to sociologists and psychologists as well as the parishioners of magick that I’ve talked to. So any input would be nice.

The Collective Unconcious is the term you're talking about.?!
IMHO it exists but has far more reach than human beings.
I happen to know any number of Sociologists that practise magic daily! (sneaky little sob's) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
In shamanic work, we have started to map out parts of the 'non-ordinary realities' and have been pleasantly surprised to find out that there exists commonality of view from blind tests!
