Greetings GP!
AP frustration! Gee...who hasn't been there?
There are a number of methods available out there. I found that Robert Bruce's method very helpful, though I used the Nephesch Projection method first.
Have you tried Bruces method? It appears to be the one that has achieved the most satisfying results.
Do not try to AP when tired. Do not try AP after a meal (within 2 hours).
Some people need to work at this longer than others. I certainly understand your frustrations!
Perhaps some further mental visualization exercises...?
Sit comfortly at a table. Have a glass or mug in front of you. Calm yourself and even out your breathing.. Stare at the glass. Memorize it. (BTW, keep your hands and arms resting gently on the table in front of you) Now close your eyes and visualize your glass. See it clearly. Repeat the memorization/visualizing until you get it down. Next step, while seeing your glass with your eyes closed, try imagining it from a different angle/point of perspective. See the glass from ALL angles. During this exercise it sometimes will bring on a centering of conciousness in ones head with feeling of the body floating out in back or even above you. Close your eyes and then try visualizing that you are standing 5 feet away (or alittle more) and look at yourself sitting there. Make a note of the surroundings. When the images are clear try to look down at your feet/body (not the one sitting at the table).Another step is to then move to a different room of the house within your conciousness bubble, remembering to note down various signs in the surroundings that you can corroborate later. Think of a friend and see them. What are they wearing? What are they doing? Take notes. This exercise can lead to AP and definately will start training you in Mental Projection!
This is one of many different techniques. To list them all could take volumes. I hope that it may have been helpful... (IMG:
