QUOTE
I undertake to observe the precept to abstain from ...

...harming living beings.
...taking things not freely given.
...sexual misconduct.
...false speech.
...intoxicating drinks and drugs causing heedlessness.

Anyone else on the forums keeping these precepts? I am struggling with 1 and 4. My lack of willpower has stopped me moving to a veggie diet. And I find myself making 'false speech' on a daily basis, a little embelishment to a story or a slight tweek to the truth here and there.

Any advice appreciated.

Exactly Kinjo (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

That is why you don't stop asking why you did or said something until you are sure you hit the baseline; but this sometimes takes many attempts and occasionally with big issues, can take years to understand an aspect of ourselves.

Of course, meditation helps loosen things, but Mediocracy practices Zazen already (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
