Lately there has been quite an influx of new members here at Sacred Magick Forums (SMF) and we are thrilled that you have decided to register and join! There are a number of issues, however, that must be pointed out.

1. We are not OF (OccultForums) and have our own way of dealing with things. Please take time to review the rules. This goes for members from other Forums as well.

2. Again, this is not OF. OF is suffering from some internal problems currently. We hope that their systems will be repaired in short order. Sacred Magick Forums will not tolerate Forum bashing. This is in no way conducive to friendly relations.

3. We've had to ban and moderate people in the past. We never do this lightly (though I have, at times, become the Ranting Old Man) and if you find yourself edging close to this then you will be notified. Please take time to read the rules...
You will find that the offensive posts have been removed. We don't owe the world an explanation. Again, the offending party will be notified.

4. Try to be mindful of your fellow posters, they might not share various religous beliefs as yourself. There are ways to debate without histrionics and falling into name calling.

5. One liners are discouraged. Though, as it was pointed out to me the other day, sometimes they can help lighten the tones. They were correct. Laughter can help bring a much needed perspective. Learn to laugh at yourself, life can be quite absurd! Armchair judgements contribute little to the conversation. Don't. Try to keep to the topic.

6. These Forums are for the exchange of ideas and debate/discussion. There are Topic threads for most things. We, as Moderators, will move topics/threads if they are inappropriately posted. Please keep personal Rants to the Blog section (one thread per member) and highly flammable topics to the Fight Club. Introduce yourselves at the Coffee Shop.

All in all we strive to bring you a friendly arena/Forum. You must work with us to maintain this atmosphere. Our Admin is very busy so don't bother them with froth unless necessary. Lets hear it for Kinjo, our Host and all of the Moderating staff for their hard work!
