There is a local used book seller in the town I live and since I know the owners I am allowed to search through any books that are too damaged to be sold. I found an interesting item the other day that some may find amusing.
When first picking it up I noticed an drawing on the inside binding. As some may know in early publishing, scraps from other books and waste paper was used in the binding process to save money. Here is the image that was on the inside of the binding.

This was undoubtably some old scrap used to bind the book. What was interesting is the book it was used to bind.
