My companion dragon arrived last September. It was my late boyfriend Bob that sent him to me as a present.

Dragons had never featured in my life; a member of my family had collected dragon figurines and I had heard legends about them as a schoolchild, but apart from that, these creatures went completely unnoticed in my life, that is, until Thursday 9th September 2004.

During ritual that day, a form began to appear and I saw a rather large dinosaur-like being - it looked at me and I looked at it - I wondered whether I should banish it, but since it did not feel threatening, I decided to keep my eye on it and see what it would do, after all, it is not everyday that a large dragon walks into your life!

I watched it trying to communicate with me through actions, and at a loss, I looked to my guiding entity; he told me that it was a dragon and that it was the present that I had been told would arrive. Oh… I see… A present to me would normally mean a book or a CD, but well, my Bob was a Ceremonial Magickian, so I suppose I should not have been too surprised to receive something magickally.

Communication was hard at first and I never did get his full name, but since he is supportive, I named him Dharma as it was the closest I could get to the name I tried so hard to understand.

Of course, I don’t call him that now, he has a pet name and he seems happy with that
