Understanding the laws of the universe and thus magick/sorcery, as well as divinity and necromancy are all effected by the different realms which I will try my best to explain below. My reason for this post is a simple reference for the basic understanding of how magick and divination work.
By reading this, those especially new to the occult will have a basic understanding of how things work.
So my purpose = less confusion (as I know how frustrating things can get).
The different "levels of being":
Physical - The "lowest" of the levels, the level which we precieve from our 5 physical senses (hear, touch, smell, taste, see).
Etheric - The level of "life force", practiced by martial artists to enhance overall performance, known as "chi" by the Chinese, "ki" by Japanese, and other names for it apply. This is also how psychokinetic powers apply, as well as psi balls. This level can be described as the framework of which subtle energies on which physical substance is arranged. The "will" and "visualisation" used to feel energy for example is the Etheric. The Aura is also Etheric, the 3rd eye percieves Etheric. This can also apply to "low magick".
Astral - This is the level of "concrete consciousness". This level is where we percieve our dreams and imagination. This is where astral projection takes place, as well as astral magick. A pattern formulated with enough intensity on hte astral level will tend to reshape the etheric level, which in iturn will tend to reshape the material substance of the physical level; this is the basic formula of magick, and also how divination works. This can also apply to.
Mental - This is the level of "abstract consciousness". This is the realm of timeless and spaceless meaning; the cosmos. This could correspond to the mental body. This can also apply to "high magick".
Spiritual - This is the level of "primal unity". This is the level of which all other levels emalate and return. This can correspond to the spiritual body. This can also apply to "high magick".
I've written this in hopes that people (those who are unaware of how exactly the laws and magick work, like I used to be), will take them to use.
