Tearing Space, the pentagrams

Recently, I've been having the distinct impression that when tracing the pentagrams, I haven't been merely tracing them or drawing them in the air, but that, with the end of my wand, I've been actually scratching or tearing open the very fabric of space in order to make room for the light-energy of the pentagrams.
