The coming weeks mark the end of my second year as a magician, and as such, I feel that now is a good time to say goodbye to Sacred Magick. I believe that I've learnt what I needed to learn here, and that it's time for me to move on. Alas, I leave with more questions than answers, but such is life. I'm really grateful for the many wonderful writings I've found here, you guys have taught me a great deal. In particular, I would like to thank fatherjhon, Vagrant Dreamer, and Kath. Your writings were at times instructional, and at others, inspirational, and many of the ideas in your posts scattered throughout this forum have helped me and my methods. May a blessing find every one of you for the time and effort you sacrificed to share your thoughts so generously. I leave you with a poem that inspired me, hoping it will do the same for you. Best of luck to all of you.
Wallace Stevens - Of Mere Being
The palm at the end of the mind, Beyond the last thought, rises In the bronze distance.
A gold-feathered bird Sings in the palm, without human meaning, Without human feeling, a foreign song.
You know then that it is not the reason That makes us happy or unhappy. The bird sings. Its feathers shine.
The palm stands on the edge of space. The wind moves slowly in the branches. The bird's fire-fangled feathers dangle down.
