Melez!

Just wondering if theres anyone here interested in, or currently practicing Faustian magick.

I've been working with Faustian magick for a few years, and recently picked up The Book of Mephisto its a great read, I recommend picking it up.

Have you heard of Moloch Sorcery's The Magus Ritual Magic Course? His book deals with Faustian Ritual Magick and Evocation. I have not seen it personally, but wondered if you had and could get your opinion on it?

I have indeed heard of his course, although I must say I'm not a big fan of his work. I haven't actually read the course, but may purchase it just to ease my curiosities on what he has to say on the topic.

What is your opinion on his general work?

I think his work is mostly garbage, things he threw together to form what his own, watered down, system of sorcery. The techniques he teaches are comprised of simple wiccan spells, things he made up, and stolen work claimed to be his own. Sure, this system probably works, but is it really sorcery? No.

I guess the point I'm getting at is take his teachings with a grain of salt. If you want to learn real sorcery look elsewhere.

I found Black & Hyatt's book "Pacts with the Devil" to be very useful, not least in that it showed me pacts can be made without being the soul-selling variety.
Interesting workings of several classic Grimoires included too.

Oddly for me even though I tried, these "demonic" spirits if you want to use that word, didn't seem to honour the pact.

Couple years later I had the idea of trying again with a totally different spirit, of a different culture, who again seemed to accept but this time appears to have honoured the Pact in most ways.

For me, the big advantage of an ongoing Pact to help your objectives is that it's perfect for a busy life, in that you don't need to do constant spells, rituals and time-consuming work in privacy; it works automatically providing one keeps their side of the bargain. Perfect for those who need a MAJOR life-change too, in which minor spells or even bigger rituals won't cut the mustard.

It took two and a half years all in all to change what I needed, but it seemed the only way.

Are there any books in particular that teach about the Faustian tradition that you own and have found enlightening/useful? I have been wanting to get ahold of a few Faustian Grimoires, but have not had much luck with it.
