I have had a dream recently that ive had once or twice before, within the last 10 years. Its probably the most exciting dream ive had.

When it starts off, I'm being carried down a small river with a strong current, at first I'm in a rubber raft but this soon evaporates and Im just in the water without anything but my clothes. I also somehow know that the river will end to a drop soon so I keep trying to swim against the current or grab on to the sides, but to no avail (IMG:style_emoticons/default/fie.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/fishing1.gif) Thie river by the way, seems to be in a large cavern or mountain, not out doors. As I look ahead I see the drop and am unable to avoid it. The drop is about a hundred feet and when i fell it was extremely realistic and my heart was pounding, I resurfaced at the bottom of the waterfall, and noticed I was still in the cavern, but about 200 feet ahead there is a huge gap in the rock and i see daylight, but no ground. Again i try to swim against the (now wide) river but i am carried to the edge and fall down the waterfall my last thoughts are oh shit.. ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yikes.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yikes.gif) The drop is at least 10000 feet and it was very exhilerating and realistic...I could see valleys and forests below but i never landed...after a few seconds of falling i was moved onto another dream. Any interpretations or ideas?

p.s. sorry if i rambled at parts or its hard to follow

First let me say that recurring dreams have great meaning. Whatever its hidden meaning is it is something which reflects on your physical life. Water equates to knowledge and sometimes magick. Your raft dissapeared so you may no longer rely on physical things. You must rely on your magick. You intuition seems in tact in the dream because you know what is going to happen. The fact that you are underground may reflect that it is sacred knowledge which you are wrestling with.

The thing to do is decide what you want to do in the dream the next time this happens. You do not want to be helpless. If you can realise that you are dreaming yet not wake up you can become lucid and do anything you want in a dream. I might suggest flying out of the water. Or walking upon the water. You must take control of the dream. When you do something in your subconscious will break and your physical world will become better.

Water can also represent emotion. It sounds like you are afraid of being carried away by your emotions (the river). The waterfall likely represents your fear of falling into the emotion, and the cave could represent the you keeping your emotions deep within you. Notice this: When you fall off the waterfall, you survive, right? Perhaps your subconsconscious is telling you that it is ok to let go and feel, you will survive the fall.

Just a thought...

I had a similar dream, of which i've dreamt 3 times in the past 2 years. The SAME EXACT dream keeps reacurring to me.

It starts off as me being in a castle or palatial place of some sort, being my home. And im always a child of maybe 10 or 11 years of age, alongside two others which either are brothers or friends. We sneak out and go about(always during night time) in the forest/outdoors, as the palace of which we snuck out of is in the middle of no where. Anyhow, we find a few privy rocks which enclose the area as if 'tis dangerous to tresspass, or forebiddon. During my first 2 times i had this dream we could not get passed that rock, but the 3rd time we did, and 'pon entering was a vast pond, none took the courage to jump in, but i did, and whilst swimming deep within, it got darker and darker, i swear my lungs were literally in pain. As i approached the buttom i see a few people in a congregated in a conspiration of some sort, almost like a sabbat but not exactly. They noticed me and i came out of the water almost in near death. They swore to wreak havoc. And thus the dream was over. Until the last dream i never paid much attention to this dream until now, as i just recently begun my diary of dreams journal which should help quite alot as i prepare for this dream the 4th time.

My conclusion would be: I think dreaming a dream more than once is definately a message of some sort, and probably an important one. And i also think the water resembles many things of which im not sure, but as someone else stated, it can mean emotions, as i confess i was going through quite some anguish and grief during the time being of this 3rd dream. 'Pon waking from this my lungs were actually in pain as if exhausted, but im not sure if this can rellate anything to your dream.

I agree with Slasher666 and say you should prepare for another of the same dream, anytime soon and this time take precise notes on't with a journal.

Hope you luck with it.

I just noticed my reply was months belated to your question. I hope i could still help.
