What holidays do you all celebrate? I'm a neophyte to the Necronomicon and will begin actually working with it soon, and was wondering about the upcoming "Halloween" season I love so much... Very into holidays, so I was thinking of celebrating personal rituals and feasts of my own on all the Equinoxes and Solstices... Something neutral and personal... Something individual of my own and yet that I celebrated on the outside with family and friends...

What about you? Are there any holidays associated with the Necronomicon?

With regards to Halloween, I believe thats one of the times that is most dangerous as it is easier for the ancient ones to rise at this time. , and their servants will be trying to awaken them.

New Years was a big celebration for the Sumerians, so some of us practice various rites during that time.

New Years day is the most important day of the year to me. I do not sleep New Years night and believe that whatever I do that day I will be doing the rest of the year. It is interesting that I found your web site on New Years day and that Enki instructed me to email you. Otherwise I never would have found Sacred Magick forum.

Was the new year of the Sumerians considderd to be the same day as the modern new year? Considdering that our calander system was created long afterword.

Personally I use the modern new year as it is not the date but rather the "new year" that makes it important.

Believe it or not, I celebrate mainly the Lunar New Year (Tet), as many of my friends are Buddhists and it's a holiday we all can share. I also celebrate New Year (January 1) but to a lesser extent.
