The Great Work As Seen In The Eyes Of A Chaote Options

The point of the great work is total spiritual maturity, the reason for this is simple, eternal freedom. I've read a few things that try to explain why most people in Reincarnation don't remember their past lives, to me the only real reason that doesn't happen is either their not supposed to, which is the case for those that try and to that end can. When you learned a lesson and understand for all that it is you no longer have to bother with about it, because its done and over with, like a test that you've just aced at school, spiritual maturity is like that, when you reached a certain point with it pretty much being total in nature you pretty much are free from it, forever.

Those who remember their pastlives have a lesson, even if they don't know this it will come in time. most people learn this lesson piece by piece while most of the time they are procrastinating in some way for form, the great work is taking time to study seriously so it won't bother you ever again. Like taking one test, just once and never having to go to school anymore.

I'm a chaote, and in this being the case I can say that my path to the great work is different from someone who does not follow the middle path, or as I prefer calling it the ambidextrous path.

I'm not interested in becoming enlightened like buddha or endarkend like anyone who cares to say that they are so that thats what they are, what I'm interested in is finding my own way for the purpose of the great work, because for me its the only way to go.

I won't say that your interpretation of the Great Work is wrong, because in doing so I would be attempting to limit your "Liberty", or "Freedom" to "Do What Thou Wilt".

In my understanding one of the most important points in Performing The Great Work is not only to have "Perfect Liberty" or "Freedom" in our personal lives, but, to also extend that "Liberty" and "Freedom" to all persons to follow their "True Will."

The Great work is (in my opinion) giving the same considerations to exercise ones "True Will" to all beings, for truly this then is "Perfect Liberty."

I've been thinking about that, As I see it when the great work involves others it then could be considered the "greater work."

The Great Work (as a chaote) is just an ego trip for the "soon-to-be". (no offense to you "soon-to-be" 's out there)

Like a piece of paper remembers what its "past life" was before being recycled. Or a tree "remembers" the tree before it that provides its fertilizer. Or the lion poop that fertilizes the grass to feed the young gazelle (guess who's momma was just lion poop)
Maybe you don't remember because after your past you got mushed back into the All after it died, there wasn't anything coherent enough as an individual "you" to have any memories left (or attached to a life "point")

The choate gReat woRk is to better understand the dynamics of this life we live, to better utilize those dynamics, and to live better as a result (all in a magickal sense).

As a chaote . . . I'm not that worried about the "Great Work" . . . I got too much "now" work to do, plus I figure . . if there is a "Great Work" , either I'll catch-up to it OR it will catch up to me. Either way, its not something I'd spend alot of time waiting for.

In relation to you said part of the great could be coming to a point in yourself where you can enjoy choas at its max, to do that you have to have total understanding of yourself while hooking up with you higher self for what I like to call "the big one."
