Necronomicon--the Movie., Who would u choose? Options

Greetings All,

A friend and I have been discussing which living actors/actresses would be right for the parts of the God's and Goddesses.

Right now we feel that Colin Farrel would make a good Marduk and Salma Hayek would be perfect for Inanna.
But this is just a light-hearted thread. Any thoughts out there in internet land?

Leave Hollywood dudes, i could play Enki or Marduk. I even got a beard and moustache for the role :-)

my avatar is already purple and now you add the beard etc.. It would do fine for a role as one of the Lords...

I think Wesley snipes as Nergal is nearly perfect.Or possibly Djimon Honsou. (sp?)
My pick for Anu would have to be Clint Eastwood. Cool, right attitude and a total 'elder statesman'.
Also, Suxur, i totally agree on Sean Connery as Enki. And of course Angelina as Ereshkigal.
hmm. I think this may qualify as the first humor related thread for the Nec.lol

LOL. But nah, we don't follow H.P.L or the "necronomicon' in the sense of his 'dread tome'. We're talking about who'd we have playing in a film based around our Sumerian religion.

Penny Lane--I whole heartedly agree w/ you as far as INANNA being blonde---I dont know but the name itself shouts blonde. Your Nordic reasoning may be right in line w/ why I think so as well. Every drawing I have made of INANNA has her as blonde. I guess we see the Gods/Goddesses however our minds care to see them.

On that note--INANNA is played by Heather Graham

Hey whys mel Gibson a Whacko? He has done some of the bloodiest movies ive ever seen. For that my applause. I have respect for anyone that does not try to doll things up and make them look all fluffy bunnyish.

P.S. Ben Kingsley would be the best fit for the 'Arab, though to make it rather surreal, I vote for Dustin Hoffman.

I would also add Liam Neeson as Enki and Steven Seagal as Marduk. (I could also see Kristanna Loken as Inanna.)
