I wonder if anyone could help me to understand this: for most of my life I have been interested in spiritual advancement and exploration which eventually lead me to attempting to follow the Golden Dawn studies for Neophytes about three years ago. One day as i was in the expanding my aura in the Middle Pillar I suddenly felt as though a dark area (corresponding to a location in a part of my back physically) kind of ruptured, I know that sounds crazy but I'm kind of psychic and sometimes pick up on odd things, and the next day I received a massive dose of what I can only describe as "bad karma" which was so traumatic it brought my life to a hold, not just my studies.
I felt almost as though I was being warned off from my explorations.
Recently though, I got my life back on track, I thought maybe I was a little paranoid interpreting the experience as a warning and decided to resume my studies, I performed LRBP once as a warm up and it didn't just feel good it was blissful, though I did feel I had once again found the "dark area". Within two days, again i had an extremely bad experience in my life.
I assure you my intentions have been as pure as I can consciously guarentee as regards my reasons for pursuing this path, so is this:
A warning?
Just a purification of my aura and the bad experiences are essential for my spiritual evolution?
A coincidence?
Anyone any similar experiences? Any Advice?

There is generally no such thing as good karma - all karma is bad, what we call 'good karma' is just the natural state of life, happy and blissful. It's a good thing to know, to better understand that a fortunate life is the natural life to have, and it is the way that life is, when we are giving in to it and living in line with our will; it also puts karma into the proper perspective.

Working through this karma is a really good thing, so I wouldn't say you're being warned away, but it's possible you're being tested, if you want to see it that way. In order to strengthen and develop, the astral body must release the 'bad' energy, and that purification process is what we perceive as karma.

So, face it with a smile, and know that afterwards, you'll be that much lighter, that much higher in your development.

peace, and congratulations!

Thanks for your thoughtful reply, i suspected something similar to what you said though I couldn't have put it so succinctly, maybe i just want affirmation of what I already guessed, where is it said that "we can't be taught anything we don't already know"?
Anyhow your advice strengthens me, again my appreciaton.

Greetings,

I think you experience was a valid one. Especially since it seems to have manifested in your physical life. I would not let the experience cause dismay.

I Buddhism emanating the female deity Tara’s name is supposed to erase bad karma. She is comparable to the Buddhist Quan Yin the mother of compassion. There are actually two Taras a red one and a green one. They grew from tear drops of the Buddha.

I tried emanating her name long ago and I had an experience similar to your own. I felt something rip out of me. I think perhaps it was guilt for past evil deeds which I was letting go of.

If you are doing a banishing ritual and something seems to rip out of you it is logical to assume that it was something unwanted or bad. You experienced bad emotion as it left. Then for a brief period perhaps three days you were feeling kind of empty. I bet that by a week or two later you were feeling much better than before?

I would regard it as a good thing and not a bad one.

Peace!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/ac42.gif) . The LBRP and such dont only banish unwanted spirits but also unwanted energies. May be you are like putting a knife in something dormant and it reacts the following days.. what i say is to wrap the dark spot inside a shield like stuff and then remove it with the banishing rituals.. well its what came to my mind :-)

take care

Good info edunpanna.tara is also a tantrik shakti, one of the 7 powerful shaktis.the tantriks, due to their relation to the quilippoth work differently then the other divinities.they shock you, scare you, beat you into realisation and enlightenment.the craziest form of tough love as you can put it.while the other hindu divinities teach you slowly the method to trap water, then the easiest way to swim to began with, and then finally follow you into the water and swim together with you, the tantrik shaktis on the other hand will push you into a river of crocodiles infested waters and wait for you at the other end of the river.

to the starter of the topic,i have my own opinions on what you are experiencing.but take it with a grain of salt as its isnt verifiable fact, just an opinion of mine.i believe you have worked the middle pillar ritual before but let it go before mastering it.the ritual affects your chakras greatly and are also the domain of the kundalini snake at the back of your spine.highle effective magick occurs when body mind and spirit join together and are all developed equally.i would recommend kriya yoga together with your rituals and some prana proper breathing tecniques.god bless.

Greetings, thank you for your advice, it is fascinating to hear of such a similar experience to my own and from a different discipline too, I may do a little research on the two Taras.
In answer to your question, the first experience a few years ago I suffered for a couple of years after, I guess I had a lot to deal with, but the recent one, yes within a couple of weeks I was feeling a lot better (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Peace!

Thanks for the advice, it sure does do what it's supposed to do! I suppose I rather naively forgot I would have to deal with my own negative energies as they are released.
Thanks for the shield thing, will try something of that nature, when it originally happened I didn't know what to do so I just tried to flood it with "white light", the second time I just let it occur and gulped knowing with almost certainty something bad was on the way.

Peace

Thanks for the advice, it certainly felt like tough love! The first time I went through the whole "why me?!" routine, the second time I was more calm and curious as to the meaning of it all.
I admit I failed miserably if it was a test, but I feel a lot stronger now with the advice and opinions I have received so kindly here!
I was practicing the 4x4 breath as recommended by the Golden Dawn.

Peace
