Greeting everyone. This is my first post hope I've put it in the right section. I've recently restarted CM, after a long break, although have practised withcraft during the last year, and have for the last couple of months started CM work by goig through QC, LBRP,MPR nothing to intense just building up again. However for the last four weeks or so generaly after my rituals I have started to hear noises at night, in my bedroom outside my door etc. I don't know if other people find this. The last time I did the LBRP, before I broke off my studies I remeber distinctly hearing laughing coming from the corner of the room, a little unsettling. Thats partly why I broke off my studies.

Since starting again apart from the noises, I've had something tug at my pillow, as I'm trying to get off to sleep, and during the night felt something on my bed, which was very un-nerving. I haven't felt threatened, and I don't feel there's a negative atmosphere around.

I don't feel this is normal, but I would like some advice on what these things could be. Have thought that doing the rituals has made me more sensitive to other things than before, but I don't know. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Loki.

Don't know if poeple think this is a wind-up or what. Again did the LBRP and QC, consequently the lights began to flicker only for a few seconds. If anybody has got any ideas I would like to hear them, on what they think it might be. Thanks

This can be a bit of a slow site sometimes, guess most occultists have a slow and steady approach.

My guess is that you aren't closing up and little nasties are getting through.

Thankyou for the reply. Altough I'm sure what I need to close or how to if I'm just doing LBRP,QC, and MP.

I am also thinking it is something like that.

I am usually having the light flicking and some times some sounds like heavy breathing, laughter or steps.

I am only studying; by the way, I am not practising (except of some experimentations, which are too sporadic and disorganised to be called practice).

I never considered it to be anything dangerous, but maybe I am wrong...

In general, I am simply ignoring all that stuff and starting to pay attention only in rare occasions that these things start getting intense, in which case I am simply recording the occurrence. I never have taken any measures to prevent these things from happening, since I also haven’t felt any malice. I don't know if this approach could be completely wrong for people who practice.

Well you're not.... those are some powerful rituals in themselves.

If things are getting physical that means they're being allowed to do so.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't suggesting they aren't powerful rituals, I was implyng that if anything with the LBRP, I'm banishing
rather than inviting anything in. Thats my confusion. I've re-read Kraigs book again re; little nasties, that may well be what it is. But thanks for the feedback.

Thats what I thought, don't let Nero hear you call it a banishing ritual btw .lol.

In the first month of my taking up practice I had an encounter. As I was practicing at night I fell asleep after a banishing and had a dream/vision where I was in outer space. Someone was there infront of me and took to bashing an invisible barrier inbetween myself and him. It was as though I was in a tank of water and he was on the outside hitting the tank. He demanded that I opened, 'the' gate and commanded me to draw a set of signs I had never seen before. Obviously didn't do it but the signs he gave me were 'shown' in such a detail it couldn't be shrugged off as just another dream.

In banishing its as though we are clearing a fog or mist, drawing down energy and lighting ourselves up. Everything is seen on the astral, other dimensions and things get curious. Hence little nasties. If yours are getting physical then it may be the usual ley line 'problem' it seems like you're in a place where theres a certain energy. If these things are getting through you should be able to invoke and make manifest a few things, why not invoke Michael or a classic protectorate to help slay some demons? Could have some fun.

It might be an idea to consecrate the room outside of the QC, LBRP, and MP, as you're using the golden dawn system I know they consecrate each new vault with "the consecration ceremony of the vault of the adepti" which is renewed each corpus christi (the last corpus christi was the 7th of June, you just missed it!) or you could adapt the consecration of the tabernacle from Exodus 40 to your needs if that appeals to you or any one of the consecration ceremonies from the bible. This will completely recalibrate the space you're in for your Work and will stop these disturbances.

Personally I think it's unwise to perform the LBRP in disproportion to the LIRP. There seems to be too much emphasis on this forum to banish, banish, banish!

I find that things like this happen more when i'm losing concentration in my rituals. Before doing rituals take time to relax with a meditation or something like that also focus a bit more when doing the LBRP.This tends to help me.I also won't do rituals if i am to tired.

Ave,
When I first started in CM, I noticed that after doing these rituals for awhile, that I would start to notice movements out of the corner of my eye. I could feel a tingling sensation from the crown chakra area on the top of my head, and I would quite frequently have the syncronicity experience. After quitting the practice of magic for a time, these things stopped. It's kind of like a muscle; if does not get any use, it will atrophy. When you start doing ritual again, you start to notice these things again. Do you remember having the same experiences when you were practicing in the past?

Thanks for the reply. It was along time a ago, and yes there were a couple of occassions I recall, but this time it seems more frequent with a variety of occurences. I think with my maturity now has opposed to in the past, I'm able to afford a more serious approach to these rituals etc. I believe once you have awakened things within you, and then stopped, re-starting again those things return more quickly.

Not to go off topic but do you think its possible to 'go back' into your previous state after being out of practice? Regress as it were. Or do you feel as though you can pick up from where you left off, as you said a bit rusty, but with a matured mind?

I can only speak of my experience, I don't believe I can pick up from where I left off as such. However I think there's something inside you that remembers and therefore you can tap those energies quicker than if trying to for the first time. An analogy. I use to play the piano, from the age of 8. Got quite proficient, then life got in the way and I stopped. There was a period of 15 yrs when I didn't play at all. Then a couple of years ago I had more time to devote to it. I didn't pick up from where I left off, but I wasn't starting again like I had never played, call it muscle memory. And I was able to progress quicker up to the level I was previously. I think its the same with anything including tapping the energies inside yourself. I'm 37 now and I have a reasonable experience in life, and this has effected the way I'm approaching CM now, my outlook was very different when I first started.
