I am really new to NEC and I want to get going now. I have never felt any strange feelings during a ritual, I have never felt NEC calling for me... Can I still become a powerfull magician? For it is that I want to be.

You have the desire / will and you are performing ritual. Now all you need is a little faith and the formulae will be complete. Will + Faith + Ritual = results.

What is magick anyways? You can view it from more than one angle. You can view it as self psychology. And the psychological aspect of magick is very important. After all its your mind which determines your reality. Doing ritual can give us the faith to conqour obstacles in life that perhaps otherwise we could not. It helps you raise your aim and shoot a little higher than you thought was possible before.

If your goal is something such as wealth then there are much easier ways to attain it than through magick. To accumulate a consciousness capable of effecting your surroundings you need to study magick for years. It takes a lot of effort. Law school for example would be a much better approach to get rich.

If you want to broaden your mind and get a grip on the world around you magick is an excellent approach. It will not happen overnight. Although I have seen several people get immediate results. So its possible just not likely.

With me I had to spent seven years doing ritual and not really seeing any results. However I enjoyed the ritual and thought the concept of magick was pretty cool. At the time I had half a mind to think it was just a bunch of B_ll Sh_t. I wondered if it was just me not getting it or if it was all a bunch of bullboshka. When I turned 20 things started to click and all of a sudden miraculous stuff began to happen in my life. I wondered if it was just coincidence or if it was finally starting to work. I am the type of person that has a hard time believing anything that is not documented beyond all shadow of a doubt.

However there are only so many times you can write events off as coincidence. Because of this I began to believe. As my faith grew my results only got better and better. It may be that it took me so long to get results because I started very young and had an immature mind.

In my eyes the real goal of magick is control of the consciousness. The magician must get a grip on his life. Unless one controls their worldly affairs they are not much of a magician at all. For me number one this means financial security. What the hell is the purpose of magick if you do not have a roof over your head and food in your belly. After gaining control of the mind things like making money become much easier. Optimists rule the world while pessimists let the world pass them by. The psychology of magick has helped me believe in myself and get a good grip on my life. To me that is real magick.

Having a strong will and strong faith is much more important than the actual ritual. The ritual is actually the least important part of the equation. It could be as simple as crushing a leaf. Or as complex as the system of Abra-Melin.

The Gate system of Necronomicon is all about transforming the mind into a higher state.

Can you become a powerful magician? If you are willing to to invest the time and be patient one day all the pieces will just fall together. How strong is your determination?
Go for it dude.

Good luck!

Does anyone have an answer about the tool disposal question? Think dismantling and/or burying them in a secluded place would suffice,or perhaps burning the ones made of flammable materials? Wouldn't want to piss off any gods. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif) I'm basically asking,*if* I were to use the methods of gatewalking and other things in the Necronomicon, can I get rid of the tools and stop using the system after some time without incurring the wrath of any spirits?

And in the book of calling,it says you should get a "round load". What is that?

"and by burning offerings of pine and cedar. And a round load shall be brought, and salt. And, having offered it to the personal deities, the Priest shall pronounce..."

Furthermore,I can't seem to find any method of calling a particular spirit in the book of calling. I could have missed missed something, but all I remember seeing is afew incantations/conjurations for no spirit in particular. Are you supposed to learn this from your watcher,or perhaps in the process of walking the gates?

I keep all my stuff locked up in a safe that's bolted to the ground. I would recomed the same to you as well. And if you want to travel leave the safe at someones house who you can trust. The gods like this kind of devotion.

1. But isn't the pronunciation of the Sumerian words very important? If I call, let's say Barashakushu, and I pronounce his name or his word wrong, or misread it, wont it be a meaningless ritual then?

2. Ooh, Yes! I Really want to be a powerful magician. I want to be so strong so that I can change my surroundings with my will. Telekinesis is a desire of mine right now, for example.

And I wonder, people here speak of having conversations with the wacher and so on... How are they performed? I mean, is it like "Hello, Wachey! What've you bean up to?" Or what? And there is also some things I didn't know that I didn't see in the book. Were does that information come from? The wacher? Or is it personal believes and interpretations of the texts in the book?

And I also want to know how the fire god works? Is it an evil spirit or a good one? or as I should say, does he care if I die or not?

Greetings Ravlor,

1. Yes, the pronunciation is quite important, but not an absolute requirement. Pronounce as best you can. Also, I've posted a file here that is a fantastic guide to the language. [attachment=609:attachment]

2. You can be as powerful as you wish. But changing ones surroundings is a relative term. I mean, don't expect to say an incantation and have the color of your walls change. However, you can change the current of the energies around you to effect subtle changes in luck, thoughts, emotions, etc...
As for learning telekineses, well, you could always try the 18. Name. Shazu. He might be able to teach you the proper exercises for learning that.

3. Conversations with the watcher take place through intuitive thoughts and astral hearing, just as you see and hear a summoned spirit. The rituals and information concerning the bandar begins on page .69 of the spellbook.

4. The Fire God is Gibil. He isn't evil. But frankly, no, he doesn't care if you live or die. However, with the proper sacrifice burnt to him, you can ask for his protection, which he will grant.

Peace,
Nosotro.

2. How will he teach me that? throu "conversations", or will it just be easier to concentrate and do?

3. But I've never talked to a summoned spirit. How is it done?

4. What kind of sacrifice shall I burn? Meat? Bread? Or just incense perhaps?

Is there any official Simon website or necronomicon community out there in cyberspace where I can find further information about this apart from the books?

"With me I had to spent seven years doing ritual and not really seeing any results."

Thanks for posting that. In my initial work with the Necro the response I got was so strong that I assumed i would advance quickly in the system. However, this hasn't been the case. I will stay on one name for awhile, be turned to some other source of knowledge (amazing the number doorways that have opened when I was ready for them since beginning the Necro), but my work in the Necro itself has slown down. I think it takes time for the changes induced brought about by contact with the 50 names to manifest.

For such a small book, the Necro is surprisingly deep and rich.

Greetings,

Okay, two answers in one.
When one summons a spirit and has a 'conversation', the speaking is almost always carried out in the mind. It will be as though two people are thinking with your mind; Yourself and the summoned entity. You think a question or statement, and a thought which doesn't feel like your own will come about. This is the entity replying. The same goes for bandar.
The more one does summonings, the greater and more distinct this other voice will become.
To summon a Necronomicon spirit, in this case a Fifty Name of Marduk, it is pretty simple.
First choose the Name you wish to call, and draw out their sigil on plain white paper. Then stand quietly for a few moments, clearing your thoughts and relaxing.
Now stare at the sigil, concentrate on it and say;

ZI KIA KANPA! (zee-kee-ah-kan-pah)
ZI ANNA KANPA! (zee-an-nah-kan-pah)

ZI DINGIR KIA KANPA! (zee-deen-gear-kee-ah-kan-pah)
ZI DINGIR ANNA KANPA!

HEAR ME O THOU (------ spirit's name)

COME TO ME BY THE POWER OF THE WORD (----- Their word of power, listed with their description in the book)

ANSWER MY URGENT PRAYER!

ZI KIA KANPA!
ZI ANNA KANPA!

At this time you should feel the spirits presence in your mind. You can begin 'conversing'.

Now, with sacrifices.
Bread and incense is best. Just recite the invocation of the fire god and as you call out the final word of the spell, light the bread up.
For the incense, Pine or sandlewood are best in my experience.
And if you are looking for a Necronomicon Group to work with or just share info, go to the yahoo group myself and my fellow Priests of Enki run. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DisciplesofEnki/

Good luck,
Nosotro Tehuti.

Thank you!

I never thought that I should "talk" to the spirits. I just assumed that the magic would work after the ritual was done. I never felt any special presence when I did any of them.

If I want to stop someone from doing something or hinder him from doing his job (which I will do in his place ) which seal should I use? I thought of Barashakushu (4) perhaps.

Barashakushu may work. But I'd go with Tuku first.

I have so far called 3 Names. And just to amplify the above statements: I have seen mental images and herd words 'inside' my head. But most of the work I have done with these three Names have come after my meditations. I have become aware of how the 50 Names will guide you to or through situations or send you to the right place and time to get what information (in my case) you desire. In doing this I have been shown aspects of those spirits that are not initially presented and thus have built a stronger relationship with them. I have also incorporated a little something extra in my callings. I will use a candle (color corresponding to the nature of the Name) anoint the candle with Herbs that relate to the reasons of calling. As well as carve the Seal into the candle. I will light the candle as I begin to call the Name. As this is not a necessary action I feel it very appropriate for this type of Magick. For the spirits wisdom and guidance is not just given during the initial meditation of the Calling but will stay with you for much time to come. So by anointing the candle and having it to light each day as I come home it gives me a chance to openly pay respects to that spirit as they continue with their aid!!

U will find that the more u work w/ certain spirits the easier it becomes to call them, to the point of a focused thought is all that is needed.

Now as far theresults of the callings are concerned--that has been my experience as well. I tend to recieve the wisdom of the calling after the calling while in everyday life. It seems to apply itself and manifest in my everyday life--its up to me to be able to see it.

QUOTE(spellcaster @ Apr 3 2007, 11:42 AM) *
Well has anyone tried to do an invokation from the book of 50 names at daylight? Is it possible to do it? The thing is I'm tired at night and mostly don't want to stay up late because of school. So is it possible to make these rituals work in let's say 6 AM or later?

just to put my two sense in lol. well you are talking about staying up late because of school now i understand this but why dont you just get up early? like 3-4 in the morning its like staying up late but with sleep! lol I did this for the longest time because it is actually quite peaceful during this time and to me i feel a bit more spiritual and connected to nature during this period of twilight...

peace

Maybe they are ignoring you to protect you. To try and hinder someone from their work is not always a good thing, and you will have to make some kind of payment for it. It could be that Tuku doesn´t agree with what you ask in the first place, or that he is trying to protect you from the consequences of what you do.

Most people (though not all) consider the Fifty Names to be less effective before walking the Marduk gate, so it could also be that the effects are so slight, or so subtle, that you haven´t noticed them (yet!)

You have to try to open up friend. You all have to understand him. At your age I was really confused but you have to open yourself to them (mentally). I think you should start with the spirit that Iniates you, it's in the spell book somewhere and it's one of the spirits that serves Marduk. The other is uglier: you can try the Ancient ones but be careful with them there is always, always a price to pay but they are easier and that's how did it, however now I am stuck with some of them so Good luck.

I believe the 50 Name spirit u are speaking of is the one I always point any new comers to: ARANUNNA, name 39. He is by far the best place to start in ur 50 names workings for, like u stated, he is the teacher of self initiation and also is ENKIs vizier so he gives EXCELLENT counsel in a wide range of situations or matters.

I have a copy of the Necronomicon spellbook. I would like to know if anyone know's which spirit to use to find a lover(Temporary or a permanent)? I have gone through the book a few times, read through all the 50 names and can only find a spirit that is for creating a childbearing condition. Not a condition I want!

Greetings,

With many many of the Names, you have to look beyond the stated description in the book. The descriptions are indeed accurate, but also can hold metaphorical meaning, or subtle hints as to more hidden purposes.
My recommendations would be either 27 or 28. Hegal and Sirisr respectively.
In Hegal's description it says She (I believe this spirit to be female, imho) is a master of the arts of farming and agriculture. But if you interpret the lines 'bestows rich harvests' and possesses knowledge of the 'plough', it can imply a bringer of lovers and knowing the ways of the phallus. In the sumerian culture, it was very common in romantic and erotic literature to compare male and female genitals, love making and even kissing to agricultural things.
Making love was sometimes called 'plowing the fields of barley'.
As for Sirsir, his power is a little more direct. It states nothing of it in his description but through my working with him, and the experiences I've heard from other very learned practitioners, Sirsir is very much a 'sex' entity. You won't get a relationship based on loved, but he can bring one based on lust.
Also, when you are with a partner, and if they are comfortable with occult ideas, then draw Sirsir's symbol upside down just beneath your navel. Think spiritual viagra.lol

Now, I don't which version of the Spell Book you have, but if it's the one with the incantations etc... besides just the 50 names, then there is a love spell from Inanna listed. It's on page 111 of my version. Also, before you perform it, do the Prelim Invocation on 110.
And lastly with that spell, it says 'to win the love of a woman'. But the spell is actually not 'preference specific'. So it'll work either way.
Good Luck.
Nosotro.

I used Hegal and Gil. Over two years later I am still with the same girl. I would not try to use them for anything temporary. For that just go to a club about 1 hour before closing.

Good Luck

I saw nice ones on e-bay including a cool Book of Shadows of Cthulhu but none of the Elder Gods. Anyone know where to get pictures of Elder Gods to pray to like one of Marduk?

Nosotro,

The version of the Necro spellbook I have is a 30 page, pdf. I just looked through it and found no llove spell from Inanna listed...Because my book only goes to 30 is probably why (IMG:style_emoticons/default/angry_pissed_off_emoticon.gif)

These are Works of the gentle passions, which seek to engender affection between man and woman. And they may best be done in a Circle of white, the Priest being properly cleansed and in a clean robe.

Preliminary Purification Invocation

Bright One of the Heavens, wise ISHTAR
Mistress of the Gods, whose "yes" is truly "yes"
Proud One among the Gods, whose command is supreme
Mistress of Heaven and of Earth, who rules in all places
ISHTAR, at your Name all heads are bowed down
I . . . son of . . . have bowed down before you
May my body be purified like lapis lazuli!
May my face be bright like alabaster!
Like shining silver and reddish gold may I not be dull!

To Win the Love of a Woman
(chant the following three times over an apple or a pomegranate; give the fruit to the woman to drink of the juices, and she will surely come to you.)

MUNUS SIGSIGGA AG BARA YE
INNIN AGGISH XASHXUR GISHNU URMA
SHAZIGA BARA YE
ZIGASHUBBA NA AGSISHAMAZIGA
NAMZA YE INNIN DURRE ESH AKKI
UGU AGBA ANDAGUB!

To Recover Potency
(Tie thee knots in a harp string; entwine around both right and left hands, and chant the following incantation seven times, and potency will return.)

LILLIK IM LINU USH KIRI
LISHTAKSSIR ERPETUMMA TIKU LITTUK
NI YISH LIBBI IA LU AMESH ID GINMESH
ISHARI LU SAYAN SAYAMMI YE
LA URRADA ULTU MUXXISHA!

Peace!

QUOTE(Edunpanna @ Mar 15 2007, 08:35 PM) *
Greetings,

Eabatu and Nostoro you are both following a Shamanic type path I think with your sorceries.

Imperial is actually quite experienced with Ceremonial Magick. In practicing Ceremonial Magick the tools are very important.

For each tool an elaborate concentration is done during which a piece of ones self enters the tool as it attunes to our vibration rate. The more these tools are used during ritual the higher latent charge the tool retains. The tool then begins to amplify our magick.

I have a lot of tools and robes etc. Just the psychological effects of preparing for ritual is great for me. When fully prepared I am like a different person. I forget about my physical life and immerse myself completely into what I am doing. In my daily life I occasionally have doubts etc. After putting on my robe and cloak and drawing the sword I have no doubts. I enter a mind state in which I believe nothing on Earth over it or under it can resist the magick that I am doing.

Sometimes I come to a point in life where I hit a low. I may be depressed or tired. I do not during times like this have the energy to manifest my will properly. During these times I can always pull down energy through one of my tools and replenish myself. Just touching a tool during a troubling time seems to empower me.

Spending a lot of time and dedication making tools should not be held in contempt but applauded. After all the more you concentrate on such an object the more powerful it becomes. The most important time for the tool is the time during its creation. So taking a lot of time and care to do it right is extremely wise. All this attention to detail during its birth forces our essence into the object. Which makes it an extension of ourselves.

It is true that you can do the Necronomicon rituals without a lot of tools or garb however I do not believe that doing that is fully experiencing the power.

Imperial,

The passage regarding not spilling ones seed can be for the most part disregarded. I have been having sex on a regular basis for years during the moon of purification.

From the book of calling.

Thou must abstain from spilling thy seed in any manner for like period of time, but thou mayest worship at the Temple of ISHTAR, provided thou lose not thine Essence. And this is a great secret.

Ok in the temple of Ishtar soldiers paid temple prostitutes for some personal worship time.
So the Necronomicon is saying its ok to have sex if we worship at the temple of Ishtar and do not lose our essence.
Many women have the spirit of the Goddess within them. My wife for example is in truth a priestess. Her body is the temple of Inanna. By connecting with a priestess I connect with the Goddess in the sacred Hieros Gammos. So love making with her is permitted during the moon of purification.
What is meant by not losing ones essence? During the Moon of purification one should not masturbate or fornicate with frivolous women. Once chosen by Inanna there can be no other the Necronomicon states. And so it is against the covenant to be with a woman that the Goddess is not present in.
If one does not have a mate and can not contain ones self then masturbation is permitable so long as the act is done while thinking of the Goddess. The seed is then sacrificed to her and not lost.
The seed spilled with a lover returns to us in their affection and adoration. We have not lost our essence in this manner.
If no strings attached type sex is performed we lose our essence as that person does not return what we release to us.
I realize that many on the forum may have sexual orientations different than my own. The same rules apply regardless of preferences.
If you follow this manner of self constraint the gates are walked just as easily as if you had not spilt your seed at all.
Realistically though a man younger than 50 and especially a young man will have a very hard time not spilling ones seed for 28 days. For a young man this could be impossible. And so we must read between the lines to see through this blind.
As far as inscribing Nebo Gate on a Palm Leaf it also says that it can be written on fine parchment. Many occult supplies sell parchment paper which is just a really fine grade of papyrus like paper. Howe ever I have found the seals just as powerful on plain white computer paper.
Also the seals etc are supposed to be made on the metals of their sphere etc. Although I am currently working on those type of projects in the past I have always used just plain white paper. Using the metal etc makes a powerful amulet. Writing the signs in any manner connect us to the power of the particular gate.
Again we encounter a blind. The difficult in obtaining the proper metal etc put doubt in the mind of the pupil that the gate can be opened without it. The instructions are true to common sense in making amulets or pentacles. An experienced with other systems should see right away though this blind.
As far as being uncertain during ones first Necronomicon rituals goes….. I read the Necronomicon far a few years before I ever attempted anything in it. Initially I was afraid of it. There was no magick forum which I could log into to ask questions about the book. I had never met anyone who had walked the gates although my Brother, Cousin and a couple of friends were working with the Maklu text.
Yes I was afraid to try it. I have no shame in that. Fear often leads to proper caution. It is in the act of standing up to ones fear and accomplishing what needs to be done that is true courage. If something is dangerous and you have no fear of it you are not brave you are stupid. I was very cautious with the book for many years until one day it unlocked itself for me.
I actually stole my first copy of the Necronomicon at 13 much like Imperial stealing his copper for his knife. This is funny in that the Necronomicon claims to be a stolen manuscript. I do not condone theft but seriously when we were kids didn’t we all shoplift a little? Stolen objects may have properties more suitable for a tool than a bought tool. Consider this the time that you obtain a tool is its time of conception. If the object is stolen then we went through some trouble and risk to obtain it. Again I do not condone theft. What I am saying is we are probably all guilty of this crime in our youths.
We all have our own method of doing ritual. If we view our technique as superior to everyone else’s technique we close our minds to creative thought. There are many ways to skin a cat. If we examine others ways with an open mind we can always find something which could be helpful.
Even if one has no faith whatsoever that a Necronomicon spell will work. If one pays attention to detail and makes everything necessary the magick will still work. During the process of making the tool we gain a faith in it which we may not have had as beginners in magick.
Also making the gates and seals has a powerful subconscious effect.
So in short while tools may not be necessary they are quite useful.

May Anu Save us all.

i bought the nec the other day and the guy says to me "the last guy who asked to look at that just walked out with it" i laughed and handed him my plastic labor card of the beast and willingly paid the 9 bucks for it. nice little coinkidink there

I have the Nec spellbook by Simon and tonight I am going to summon Aranunna the 29th. I haven't walked the gates, I haven't read the Necronomicon and I have no idea how to.
I had to get the spellbook imported. Very hard to find.
Would I be able to summon another one such as Malah the 29th name after Arannuna straight away?
I won't just incase.
I will get back to you what I experienced.
(I have never done this before)
And do I need to do a banishing thing afterward?
I kind of like the idea of a spirit/entity guiding me or playing tricks on me. LOL

Neris, here are some answers to your questions.

1. Yes though give them time. When I called on Hegal, it took a few weeks for me to get results. But then again I've always been a little slow. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

2. As for banishing thats always wise. You could make the banishing as simple as the Lord's prayer or as complicated as you want it to be. The hard part is to then forget about it. You don't want your lust for results to get in the way.

3. As for Spirits playing tricks on you thats not always a good thing. Your young so you may not understand that right now. This is new to you enjoy it. But don't brag if you get the results you want. Many people don't like or understand magick and they may attack you because of it. But that won't help you. So silence is golden. Just my 2 cents

Good luck,
gmcbroom

Thanks =]

I know what you mean when it is not always a good thing.

And I hate it when people think I won't understand because of my age.

I'd rather be told and have no idea than not to be told at all.

That my 2 cents. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/badmood.gif)
