Greetings all,

I am relatively new to the Necronomicon (IMG:style_emoticons/default/baby.gif) and am starting to run into gaps in the information. On page 18, in the description of the fabrication of the silver amulet (moon absorbing amulet), it specifically states that after engraving in the moonlight:

"the proper incantations must be performed, and the prescribed rituals as given forth in this Book".

.....Ok, no prob.

It mentions again further down the page:

"UDU [sun god shammash], in his jealousy will rob the seal of its power. In such a case , it must be bathed in waters of camphor, and the incantations and ritual performed once again."

..... Sure thing!

Problem: (IMG:style_emoticons/default/book.gif)

I can't find these incantations or rituals written anywhere in the copy I own of this text. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused012.gif)
Can anybody help me shed some light on it? (no pun intended)

I would like to know that I have worked a proper amulet before I get started. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/medieval.gif)

Please advise, if able

That my friend is a good question. I just scanned my copy and can't find it either. here is what I suggest.

1) Wait here and someone in the know will respond in time.

2) go to the Disciples of Enki Yahoo group and ask them.

This site and that site are excellent resources on this subject. I wish you well.

Sincerely,
Gmcbroom

Thank you gmcbroom (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I have read much of what Ashnook, Edunpanna, and Nero have written on here so maybe they will see this post (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'll also go check out the yahoo orum you suggested.

Again, thanks for your time and input!

What version of the Nec have you got and in what language is it written?

My version is an Avon paperback edition. Avon did its first printing in 1980. The version is in English. Now however, There is a seal for NANNA on page 20. It also says to not have the suns rays touch it so perhaps Cynik this is the seal you were referring too. Just a thought.

I have this same version.I believe the deal with the suns rays pertains to both item,s the seal and the amulet, as it mentions both separately, as "amulet" and "seal".

I'll keep my eyes and ears open.
Thanks,
Cynik

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/shok.gif) Wow man, I've looked at that 1000 times and never really saw the title at the top of the page, I figured I'd read the incantations all the way through and memorize and such when and if I was able to find everything. There is a title at the top of that page! and that is what it is too, man, nice work I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.

Thanks.

Cynik

No problem Brother. You may want to precede that with the Preliminary Purification Invocation. Be Well

pg 110 invocation? "Bright One of the Heavens...."? If that's it I'll do it. I'll post my experiences in about a month (have to observe the moon of purification as well ) in the experiences thread for that... thanks again. I'm engraving on the 26th, under the full light of the moon. I'll probably construct the Nanna seal also as it is of similar nature. Can't wait man I think I have everything I need to go spirit questing!

Let me know if I can repay the favor mate!

Cynik

I agree with everything brother Azu Mu Tuku said.

For $30 you can order a 4 inch square of sliver. Use an engraving gun to engrave it. Here is a picture of the one I cary around in my wallet. The flash of the camera seems to have given it a golden look. However it is the ordinary sterling silver color.
