-Sigh.- Here we go.

Over the course of the past year and 2-3 months, my girlfriend and I have been conversing with a spirit that we've grown to call "The Storyteller". In the beginning when I had first moved in with her, everything was absolutely normal. Only a few voices here and there, some footsteps in the hall, nothing major. Just the same things I used to hear. Over time, it got more frequent and clearer. At first the voices were muffled and hard to understand. But then we started to converse with a spirit, who was unknown to us at the time. Since then, the voices got clearer and clearer. We got to know the spirit, and he took on many personas, but we knew that they were all him. They all felt the same way, you know? He goes on about his life, and his libido, and shows signs of caring and kindness. But, every once in a while, he'd take on a persona that seemed filled with hate and anger. And when he did, it would show in the atmosphere. At one time, he had gotten so angry while acting as the sun god Ra, that the cloudless sky was suddenly filled with dark, ominous, green tinged clouds. It stormed, and showed signs of a tornado about to begin. But then, he calmed down, and the storm suddenly disappeared. I called him out on his lies a few days later, and then he took on a new persona.

Here, he began to say he was a guardian for my girlfriend. I was no longer truly able to believe him, of course. But then, I don't thing I ever really did to begin with. Not fully anyways. But I have to admit, some of his stories were kind of interesting. There were a few elements that stayed the same througout all of his stories though. The most prominent was that he continuously kept trying to convince my girlfriend and I to have a child. He said that our child would be destined for great things, which is something he had said in every single story. Another thing was that when he spoke to us, he would use one of two titles for us, never calling us by names. He would call us "Father" and "Mother", and "Lord" and "Lady". When asked to explain, he said we were royalty. I know my family, and I know for a fact I am not royalty. Another element is that he has known my girlfriend since she was a child. And he has confirmed this by reminding her of things that she had forgotten about her own childhood, and others that she remembered but had not told me about at the time. We cross checked with her father about the forgotten details of her past, and they did check out. All of them.

At one time I asked him why he lies all the time, and his response was, "I do not tell lies. I tell stories." Hence why we dubbed him the "Storyteller". F.Y.I. He loves the nickname.

At this point in time, I'm sick and tired of him. He seemed nice enough at first, but enough is enough. I need this plague out of my house. He never leaves us alone. He disrupts our divination no matter what precautions we take before hand. He's stalking my girlfriend, interfering with our lives, and I in my heart believe that he wants us to have a child for some sadistic plan he has plotted. I worry for my girlfriend, and worry more for our child, whenever we actually have one.

Also, in case you were wondering, the voices I heard were mostly conversations from wandering spirits. I never got to speak to any of them directly. But as they got clearer, the more horrifying they became. After the tornado incident, I was nearly asleep when I heard a male voice scream out, "Burn him!" Since then, the majority of voices I hear are of people screaming as if being tortured to death.

But after all of that, I still wonder how much truth was in his stories..

When you post you make your font really small. So I edited it to make it a bit more readable to my sensitive eyes, that's why it looks different. Normally we don't care if you use different sizes or fonts as long as they are readable. Not a big deal, just a suggestion that you don't set your font to appear so small.

I guess what really comes to my mind is how long have you been hearing these voices and whether or not you've ever seen a doctor about them. I'm not saying you are crazy but if you have been exposed to something toxic, if you've ever had a history of brain trauma, drug use or mental illness that may be the cause and there may be away to treat the condition and make the voices go away without further imbuing you into the occult and potentially causing more damage.

Now that we have a "rational" point of view I'll tell you my opinion from an occult perspective. I could imagine my mother telling you several possibilities. One that this entity is not good news in that it has been feeding off your girlfriend for years and years. That and it won't be easy to get rid of. I remember her telling stories about some Indian tribe that believed in spirits that are sent by the Gods to watch over people who misuse magick or their powers. But these watchers are not "social" creatures. They generally appear as shadows. But they do stalk and they do latch onto a single person. The other thing my mom would probably tell you about is the Demon who's real name is Legion. Legion from the bible is the Demon Jesus cast out of that one guy, I forget his name but its a popular story in the bible about a man who is plagued by this demon and when Jesus commands him to tell him his name, the Demon replies "Our name is Legion, for we are many".

As I understand Legion he is a type of Demon that is really a collection of a hodge podge of imps and damned souls. In reality the demon is rather weak but it feeds on the fear of others and likes to make itself look bigger than it really is. Legion would deffinately be able to pose as the God Ra or pretty much be able to take on which ever form it wants. From what little I know, Demons are not easily removed. Usually when a non-initiate tries to remove a demon they just piss it off. maybe make it go dormant for a short time. But they are none the less unable to remove it.

It might not be a Demon, it may just be a lonely wayward soul that has not crossed over, perhaps out of fear. Some in the new age philosophy believe that the souls of the dead need to cling to sources of energy to linger on and not be consumed by oblivion - or have to cross into its next incarnation. In order to do this the soul commits a form of possession called spiritual oppression. This is where the spirit does not directly possess the body of the host, but manipulates him/her and makes him/her, in a sense, do what it wants. This can lead to full on possession, which would potentially coincide with why the spirit wants you to have a baby - so he can possess it and avoid damnation or going where ever his soul was meant to go.

At any rate, this entity, regardless of what it is seems hostile. If there are no environmental factors causing this phenomenon, no logical reason for this to be happening then I would consider a less than conventional approach. Smudging and having a house blessed by the church are probably the two most common ways to have a spirit removed. But from what I gather, neither are reliable and both can anger a spirit rather than remove it. You may try yourself or have a medium come to your home and attempt to coerse the spirit into leaving. However, its attachment to your girlfriend will probably make him not want to leave. Of course, that does not mean just give up. When there is a will there is a way. And if you could find one of our senior members, perhaps maybe esoterica for example they may know more about the subject than anyone else. I know with es she has demonstrated a wealth of knowledge when it comes to dealing with spirits. I'd be she could probably help you remove one too.

PS - Given that you feel you cannot trust this entity there is no point in even trying. Regardless if the entity is a demon or a lost soul its apperant that it is a bother. So do not acknowledge it. By ignoring it, you'll anger it. But it'll send the signal that you ready and willing to fight it and it will start the process of removing it.

I agree that this entity is feeding off your girlfriend, but I also think this entity wants you guys to have a child because (your ideas are correct) children are more susceptible to spirits and will blindly follow what the spirit commands over time. So "Burn Him" may actually turn out to happen one way or another. I don't know what to tell you because I have not made physical contact with the entity but I do know the basics will work on all sorts of larger fish. If I were you I would not personally control or try to capture the entity because it does not seem in your specific talent bend in order to do so. I'll give you some advice I'd give one of my clients if I weren't able to come to the site.

Step one: Find a good dispelling ritual, use smudge and make sure your girlfriend is also partaking in the ritual with you. The spirit at this point will become physically violent, try not to incorporate anything into the ritual that is not directly attributed to the practitioners, because these items can and will be turned against you. Also make sure the ritual site (in your own home) is safely protected, IE consecrate a circle making sure all the items you need for the ritual are INSIDE the circle before closing it. For some rituals you can safely step inside and outside the circle and still perform a successful ritual, however I do not think this will be the case in this sort of ritual (if you decide to take my advice). Do not rely on electronics (IE music, pre-recorded chants, anything.)

Step two: The spirit is out of the house, but will want to come back when it's easy to do so. After a successful ritual, it is necessary to ward the house. Put a line of salt over every windowsill and doorway, also light a white candle in front of each and every window (some people put salt in jars in the corners of every room). These precautions will keep the spirit at bey while you put up the necessary shielding.

Step three: Get a big glass bottle (about a half liter) and fill it with iron nails, (it sounds gross but it's the best line of defenses I've come across) fill it with the urine of the resident witch, in this case I suggest you fill it up with both yours and your girlfriends', half and half. Seal the bottle and bury it under your home.

I also suggest you also do some research about energetic shielding, and apply a layer of shielding to step three. Do not talk about this process in your house, it will make the spirit very upset and will make the situation worse. I think you should also stop speaking to the spirit because that feeds it. When you complete step three (shielding highly recommended) you can stop putting salt over the windowsills, doorways and keeping a white candle lit. However listen to your girlfriends intuitions about feeling like the spirit is coming back, when these feelings strike simply repeat step two (salt and white candles).

Psychic self defense is a great book for shielding. I'm not too savvy in the ways of ritual work so ask someone else that is, for a good book reference.

Good Luck,
Dancin' Coyote.

Reminds me of the story in Duquette's book, My Life with the Spirits. That story didn't end too well, though.

I would suggest maybe being abstinent with your GF until you get rid of it. Sounds like it might be feeding off the sexual-emotional energy of the relationship. Be clear about this with her though, as she might feel you're backing off from her. My advice besides what's already been offered is, if you have no experience as a magician in dealing with entities, is to pray and to enlist the aid of whatever higher powers you connect with. For instance, one time my wife scryed into a certain magickal grimoire. She encountered a very powerful entity that hung around after the scrying and would not leave when asked. While my wife is open to these things and is interested in magick etc, she does not practice magick, and is also a christian. So, rather than a perform a ceremony or ritual, she called on the powers of Christ and the Holy Spirit, and the room became filled with holy angelic light on the astral, and so the entity departed without any further trouble.

Although bear in mind that in your case, the entity is not just hanging around after being contacted. It sounds as if it is attached to your GF's energy field. Is this in your GF's house? Did she grow up in it? If it is attached to her field, then something more along the lines of an exorcism would be recommended. Again, not a good idea to do an exorcism if you have no occult experience. Like others have said here, it can make it worse. Get both you and your GF to earnestly pray together to whatever you connect with to release the spirit from you. Archangel Michael is mostly everyone's favorite spiritual bodyguard!

why ohy why does everybody want to get rid of spirits - embrace them, or send them to me, i'd love some company beyond these yokels and rubes round here, especially a good storyteller that can do shit to back it up

i still have my main physical squeeze and my non-physical side-piece and confidant dead girl, but there's plenty of room as long as they can all get along

just weird to me

You have to remember, the vast majority of us are afraid of those beings. You and I might enjoy company, and understand the rules of that realm. Others don't and that can get both them, and the spirit into trouble.

yeah but how many centuries have we experienced the others?

why is there still a 'normal' that being outside it causes fear?

oh they want a sukkubus but will not have a friend, just cause that friend happens to be dead

i will never understand it, even when i see it every day

i guess i have strayed too far from human, which is always the danger in our work

thanks (smile)

and then only if they are pushed, and here is how you do it:

how many people do you know that think magic doesn't exist, or that it is the work of sataaaan, and it should be destroyed?

how many people do you know that would try to kill a materializing entity before it makes it wholly into this world?

how many people do you know that even have an open mind about past lives and could handle knowing theirs?

blaming it on government mind control and religion is only a crutch and shift from the real culprit - they only have themselves to blame

how long have they had to get their act together?

how long will it be before they die rather than adapt?

the ancients built memory banks of stone that shone like a beacon of white fire - those that came after them tore them apart for building materials - still, there are a few who still want to become more, and they take their children to the destroyed monuments to imprint their consciousness and expand their mind - these are the evolved, and we are those that will leave the rest behind

i am one of those children. - are you?

even if you have never walked the ancient monuments, or cast a spell, or even pushed, if your mind can read this without wincing, you are one of the evolved.

the time is coming soon for those that can, will, and those that can't, won't.

where will you be? - will you be in the new alive world or the old dead world?

will you girlfriend or partner or mom and dad make it to the new world? - are they not evolved enough? - didn't you want them there? - why didn't you push?

push and they will listen, they will squirm and bleat and try to pull the wool back over their eyes and stick their head back into the sand, but, like a near-death-experience, the truth will set them free, once it pisses them off

pushing the pushers,
-es

For me its not so much fear as it annoyance - if I'm trying to sleep for example, can't you just leave a message on my cell or send me an email or something? Is it really necessary to get my attention by grabbing at my leg while trying to peacefully rest? Is it really that urgent?

I do remember seeing an episode of a haunting on discovery channel where a New England woman dreamed of a 18th-19th century crone who appeared to her on fire. The woman ended up having the house inspected and it turned out that there was bad enough gas leak that the house was basically a bomb waiting to go off. It also turned out that there was a previous fire in the house which, if I remember the same episode correctly, killed two children and their mistress back in the 1800's.

So in that sense I guess its best to not ignore spirits entirely. Another annoyance I can think of is that my mom and my sisters lived in a condo that was converted from an old army barracks. The experienced all sorts of strange phenomenon. I'll never forget one photo they took that looked like an uncanny picture of a white dog that somehow got in the photo. It was mostly just a blob but contained the face of a dog. That and in one of my sister's rooms (she was a baby at the time) she'd seem to cry at something in the room - like she looked at it and and would get scared of it. And the really spooky thing, which I have never been able to explain is the apperance of claw marks on the covering in her window.

To me, a spirit like that is not company - its a bother. Maybe its just me. But if a spirit wants to contact me, the best time is when I'm in a lucid dream or on the astral planes and can carry on a decent conversation, relatively speaking.

Woo. Sorry for not replying for so long. Haven't had a chance to stay online for a long period of time.
And sorry for the small font Acid. =P

Esoterica, if it wasn't for how bothersome (and creepy) he has become to our lives, I would gladly leave him be, and be friends with him.
But he does not tell any sort of truth, and he's disrupting our lives as much as he can. When talking to him, black becomes white, up becomes down, everything is twisted.
We can't divine or anything because his influence changes our answers to what he wants them to be.
I would send him to you if you want, but unfortunately I don't know how.

And the way I see it, it's not human to fear spirits and the dead.
That's only how religion and society has twisted it and made the masses believe it should be.
----------

flyingmojo: Yeah, this is my girlfriend's house. But she did not grow up here all her life. She has lived in a few other places before she moved here.
Nothing against you personally if you do, but I don't believe in the Christian figures. All the Christian figures are just perverted images of spirits, Gods, and Goddesses from other religions.
---------

Dancin' Coyote: I'll check out that book and see how it is. Maybe I can find an excerpt or something online so I don't need to buy it first.

Thanks for the advice guys.
-Sigh.-
This situation is really stressful.

Djinn Shiva, no problem, but may I stress the fact that, despite the example I used, my point has absolutely nothing to do with the christian religion? It's just my use of language that makes it seem so.The Buddhists define a demon as just an entity that is deeply contracted up within itself. Whereas an angel is just as profoundly expanded out and open. It is this openness that lets the LIGHT in. And the LIGHT is real, irrespective of whatever religious context its perceived in. And there are beings of this light that kick some major ass, trust me.

Yeah, I understood that actually. =P
I was just making a note of how I feel of the Christian figures and religion itself.

Well, as an update on how things are going here, things have calmed down a little. Well, kind of.
There's been a decrease in the amount of falling objects around the house, but a large increase in the voices I've been hearing.
It seems like he is trying to reeeally get my attention.

The voices haven't been anything out of the ordinary.
Screaming men and women, and a little girl who calls out to me and my girlfriend.
All the same things I've heard before. Just more frequently is all.

Oh, and Acid, nope. No history of head trauma or exposure to chemicals. =D
Forgot to mention that before.
