Advice Options

I have no experience astral projecting so it is new, i thought to brush up on the basics.

for a couple days i've been spending time practicing visualization. I am at the level where i can visualize something, an apple, as a 3d object perfectly, and alter it in my mind. However, it still feels a figment of my imagination, and is a bit like a mirahge. dont know if anyone can go beyond this point.

In energy i can move my energy and such through my body. I can visualize it moving, however i'm not too keen at sensing it. never have been, so i just try to visualise to manipulate it.

When i tried to project, i had a time of trouble getting a trance started, cant tell if a real one started.

I had trouble also imagining myself, since i'm not one who looks in mirrors often.

Then when i tried to move my conciousness i felt awkward.

finally when i tried to "Open my eyes" I saw black, and woke up.

Also, when projecting, do you pre design the imagery as it happens, or do you precive it like the physical world, just directly to your mind?


EDIT: Ya know, after all this time of nothing but failure, i'm beginning to belive there is no magick.

the astral worlds are as real as this one - getting out the first time is the hard part - people have dedicated their whole lives to getting out

there is no instant magic, and don't expect fireworks

becoming proficient takes time and experience

everybody expects fireworks and candles bursting with pyrokinesis

subtlety is everything, period

magic is more difficult than easy

magic involves changing yourself as much as it involves changing the world

it also affects you as much as it affects the world

reading a book or two on magic, or one of my weavings, does not make you a magician

but it does change you, if you have an open mind and want to be more than asleep

they only giving you a starting point to develop from

fictional 'magic', as in harry potter and the crap on tv, doesn't exist

real 'magic' has many definitions and is sometimes intentionally hidden

give someone a fish and they eat for a day, teach them to fish and they can catch god

the magic we do is not like harry potter, or the craft, or a rpg, or a mmorpg, or larp, or dungenos and dragonos, or magic the gathering, or any other fictional bs

there is no right answer, no real reality, and your mind is in charge of your reality (had to be my post lol)

doing proper magic is not following a recipe to bake a cake, but examination of the ingredients and methods in order to build your own repertoire of cakes

enough - they and i have spelled out, can you decipher the word?

Nor is you telling me that magic has nothing to do with laarp.

Perhaps you misunderstand.

I said i am starting to disbelieve, that was in reference to all the times i've failed, and the 0 times i've succeeded.

I know magic is easy.

i know the astral plane is real.

I DEFINITELY know that it's hard,

which is why i'm asking advice.

you seem to give up very easy.

You didn't even try.

I read the story and it's nice, but has absoulutely no practical aplication, other than "There is a source"

and

"Incense makes me sleepy"
