So i just tried to astral project i was laying down on my bed. I was clear and focused for about 30 minutes. After i finished i felt really sick and weak it is hard for me to even type as im shaking bad. I feel almost out of place. Feeling like i was going to pass out like im drained it feels like i havent eaten in weeks. Can anyone offer advice on this this is first time anything like this has happened. I didnt project i just felt really relaxed until i came out of it all these things hit me at once. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My first instinct is to say you were too relaxed for projecting and ended up releasing some bad blocks, then got freaked and tried to clamp down on the energy as it tried to move.

Then again you could just have a badly timed stomach bug. See what it does for a few days, go to the doc.

Whenever you try to go into another state of consciousness there's a chance of something like this happening. Fatherjohn has a good point about possibly releasing some difficult energy. Instead of trying to relax and "slip" out of the body, I usually try to focus on a point outside my body. Relaxing is a great place to start but there are different sorts of consciousnesses that need different directed efforts to reach after you become relaxed, when meditating.

How often do you do this and what are your past experiences? You find a ritual to do beforehand to help make sure you are prepared, prior to projecting.

Expect nothing, or you will get caught up in the future and not pay attention to the present. Just do the practice diligently, do it because you enjoy it, do it because you believe in it. Don't wait for results, don't wait for it to happen.

I was really relaxed. I was fine after about 30 minutes of getting up and walking around eating some cereal without milk. It has been sometime since i have practiced any sort of meditation or astral projection. I have gotten back into the practice lately as i miss the experiences and the spiritual growth. I feel great today i actually even got started writing a book and everything just flowed. It has been a good while since i have done energy working. Can you elaborate a bit on bad blocks? My past experiences have never been anything like that before. Usually i feel really rested. I used to practice LBRP daily but that was because my parents where not around. They are really christian they understand my beliefs but would freak if they seen me doing a ritual (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif).

That's why its good to wait for a bit after any sort of event arising from meditation or internal work. With meditation and qigong and some other things as well I like to wait from three days to a week or so just to be sure what I think is going in really is. You cant make things worse by waiting but you can always make things worse by panicking. Any subtle workings will leave you very aware, some times that's good, most of the time it is not. After an unusual experience it is even more so. Eating is also a good way to ground you, touching your furniture also helps, really you just want to focus on the physical while you settle down.

No block is good, but some are particularly bad. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Energy blockages are clotted energy - stagnate and unmoving. They are created by repressed emotions, thoughts and deeds. Repressed emotions are the biggest causes though. In order to repress a emotion you have to stuff it somewhere, because emotions are energy they don't simply vanish. Depending on the kind of emotions repressed and how one represses them blockages will get stuffed anywhere from internal organs to the outer layer of your aura. Blocks are bad for a number of reasons. Firstly, they stop the normal flow of energy in the body leading to qi deviations, larger blocks and eventually physical symptoms. Second, they attract less than savory situations; parasites love them and because the emotions/thoughts have no expression and are not purified they will keep reoccurring in your life until you deal with it. Lastly and most impotently blockages prevent you from meditating or doing energy work effectively. Errant thoughts and disruptive emotions will keep popping up untill the cause is rooted out. This makes it hard to perform even the simplest magick.

Blocks can come in two types. Blocks and stagnation that is just big enough to cause issues. When you resolve stagnation you feel better. When you resolve a block you feel crap, sometimes for hours, as all those repressed emotions and the memories related to them parade around for a while. This is never pleasant. The best thing to do is let it happen and resign yourself to it. Panic, fear, worry, and attempting to control it will only make it worse. Simply acknowledge the emotion and ignore the memories (they are often fragments anyway).

If you try to clamp down on the experience you repress the original block again and add to it any emotions you had about it. Thus is it even larger are more painful to deal with.

The first thing to point out is that only you really know what was responsible? Was a spirit ally having fun with you because you had been slacking? Did your body revolt from eating?
Was your protection shoddy? I could probably list 25 things off the top of my head that could have been a problem in your situation, the thing to do, is carefully review the event and the events before and after and see if you can figure it out.

I did want to point out that, in my mind there's no such thing as too much relaxation. If anything I would say the problem was that you weren't able to relax enough. After all a relaxed body and mind don't often get upset stomachs and its actually pretty hard to feel 'terrible' when one is really relaxed.

Im not sure what was responsible truly im thinking now that it was maybe just laying down for quite some time. And as i was practicing i just simply woke back up and stood up im thinking that going from higher state of consciousnesses to awake and trying to move around really quick my body was just not prepared for it. Eating actually helped after i got up and moved around i just felt like i had not eaten for a week. Im think i lost energy whenever i was in my altered state i did some energy practicing the next day to fill what i felt like was lost. And i have felt much better just a very odd occurrence that sacred me at the time. I have not had that feeling since though luckily. Appreciate your response

I know that when I go out-of-body and return I usually have to adjust for a few minutes. For instance I have a hard time getting my mouth to work well enough to talk; primarily fine motor skills, although I usually can't walk or move around very well for the first few minutes. But you say that you didn't actually leave the body. hmm well, when you are coming out of a very deep trance it can be difficult. Eating a little something helps bring you back into your normal state of consciousness reality more easily so that was a correct instinct.

rapid return to body can be a bit 'jarring', just in and of itself. you can get used to it pretty quickly though, if you keep at it.

your symptoms sound more like energy depletion though.
did you also find yourself lacking body heat?
(not that you'd feel chilled necessarily, but like your body wasn't producing much heat, which would lead to feeling chilly if the room was anything less than warm).
and did you find it hard to mentally focus? and/or tiredness? dizziness/wooziness? physical muscular weakness?
all of these are common side effects of significant energy depletion. so if you experienced some of these symptoms along with what you already described, then that could be it.

a feeling like you really need to eat could just indicate low blood sugar though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
