Greetings! What a marvellous technique! Thank you! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/yahoo.gif) It's a conciousmind bluff technique! You are always surrounded by astral stuff though our conscious mind filters it out. Using the mental screen and telling the conscious mind to remove all the colour (mundane working on mundane in/on a nonmundane screen) then reinserting it lays the astral bare by noticing the differences....like peripheral vision...sort of... I do know how it works! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Very, very nice! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/clap.gif) This post has been edited by bym: Jun 13 2005, 10:30 PM

Greetings Alekhine, welcome to the Forum! I think that you may have something there....I can understand that for a sightless person the need for sensing energy would not take place on the visible spectrum as a sighted person would perceive. I do think that aura and astral bodies are present regardless of individual perception. Not everybody will be able to perceive color etc. in an aura due to their methods/ways of filtering the information. Everything has an energy signature...even if looking at its opposite in 'negative'. The method described by GeNoCiDe employs 'tricking' the concious mind into not filtering the astral impressions out, something that experienced viewers/'sighted' people do automatically. I can see where it would not work all the time. Having a few friends that are resistant to visualization, it has been challenging to come up with alternative ways of teaching them to perceive aura/astral/etheric/etc. energy. I can see that a person who does not believe in 'aura'; might find this exercise if-ey. I cannot scientifically prove that aura is real. I know that it is....and then I may be delusional. Though I seriously doubt it. (I perceive it...) The belief in energy hasn't crimped the style of scientists. Quantum Theory exists but, alas, quantum Fact does not. Dicey topic, subjective perceptions. I'm glad we're here to learn new things! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

QUOTE many psi-vampires/energy workers I've spoken with seem to 'sense' energy without the need of a conscious visualisation Very much so - heat/pressure is how I sense it. It's very tactile, so I tend to use my hands a lot for energy manipulation. Bym or Alekhine, I don't 'spose you have any suggestions on how I might adapt this technique?

The value of an individual is not numerically assignable. Given the individual's infinite capacity to affect change (for better or for worse), it follows that their value is just as infinite. Logically then, not only are all individuals of equal value, but all possible combinations and groupings of individuals are of equal value, and finally, no matter an individual's past actions, their capacity to affect positive change is not diminished.
The value of the individual is sacrosanct, but actions must be directed in an effort to affect positive change.

Thermals might work. In fact, that would probably work well... I'll try it out and get back to you. (Oh, and it's a "q" not a "g" (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif))

QUOTE(UniOne @ Jun 3 2005, 01:00 PM) Wait... what if a person could see a transparent white or dark highlight around something already without mediatation??? Ever "dozed off into space"? Notice how your eyes are, remember that, how you just stare off into space, not really lookin at anything. Now go to a mirror (carefuL) or stare at a partner. Look how you would if you were "staring off into space". See if you start to see different shades of color around the white. Ive only done this a few times, but from what I understand the white you see is some form of basic auric site. Ive managed to see green surrounding me in the mirror the couple times I did it. otherwise, I havnt much use or interest for it.

(IMG: style_emoticons/default/bye.gif) Without changing the subject, I have a technique I call phasing, I use the term phasing because I'm pulling my astral body out of phase with my physical. About 10 mins before I go to bed I stare at myself in the mirror, making eye contact with myself in the mirror. After about a minute the mirror goes black and well I know I'm projected astrally. I will try and hold this state as long as I can, maybe 3-5 mins. After I go to bed and turn out the lights, close my eyes and well I can still see. Yes I said see in the dark with my eyes closed, well I guess the astral is what I'm seeing. To explain more everything looks black with white outlines around objects. Sort of like the outline you would see if you were looking at someones aura. But at this point I can get up and walk around my house in the dark and not run in to anything. It took me about 6 months before I had results, and I have problems sleeping sometimes because when I close my eyes I can still see. It's kind of a side affect of my astral vision, but eventually I fall asleep. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleeping_.gif) Robert Bruce even mentions this in his book as a side affect of astral vision. QUOTE(Tyday @ Jun 23 2006, 06:08 AM) Did you manage to see spirits? I mostly "feel spirits" but yes I do see spirits with this technique. The way I see them is more like catching something out of the corner of your eye and then I usually "feel" the entity. I use this technique more before I go to bed to kind of "kick in" my astral senses if I'm planing to project or do dream work ect...and remember this took months of practice, practice, practice to master. And this is not the only method I use, I was using this is an example of my technique. lol I think everyone is different in how they develope their (astral) senses. QUOTE(Tyday @ Jun 23 2006, 08:51 AM) lol. Where are the rest of these techniques? Your thing seems to resonate best with me. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/showoff.gif) I was taught a simple trick to get your astral senses opened up years ago. Take a candle a place it on maybe a nightstand or end table next to your bed. Every night befoe you go to bed turn out the lights and light the candle. Say a prayer, or just state what you want to get out of this exercise. Then stare at the candle flame for as long as your can with out breaking concentration. Maybe at the most I can go 30-40 mins with out breaking a sweat, but it takes a lot of focus. Also turn off any fans or AC that might be blowing the candle flame around a bit. The more focused you can be the better, also make sure your comfortable. Sit in a chair, or just sit in a comfortable position. The key is to block everything out but that candle flame, at this point after about ten minutes everything around me goes black and I can see my self sort of glowing in the blackness. I try and hold this as long as I can, sometimes I sort of phase in and out, that is why I was calling it phasing. I have also used the mirror technique I mentioned above, or sometimes I use both the mirror and candle in the same night. I always wonder where the phrase "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?" After awhile I noticed that even in the day time I could see white outlines around people about 1"-2" off the skin. I would guess I'm seeing part of their aura. I have not developed my astral sight to actually see aura colors. I do see energy waves sometimes just around me in general, but I usually don't see color. Now that I think about it most of my astral vision(s) have been Black and White. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/confused012.gif) Tyday I was not holding back, there is just so many ways to develope your (astral) senses that I can't think of them all. I hope this helps you a little more. Cheers, Benjamin Student at SAE World HQ http://www.sae.eduAustralia This post has been edited by benrachor: Jun 23 2006, 08:30 AM

QUOTE(Tyday @ Jun 24 2006, 05:27 PM) Ok, good stuff (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). Errr, do you get facial distortion with the mirror excercise? Just wondering... Tyday, Very normal, I see you are getting the hang of it!!! I get facial distortions as well, I would think one is looking at one's astral self or astral image. In my facial distortions my hair is usually combed nice and I usually look a bit older and thinner. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) That's it my friend, just keep your focus and practice, practice, practice.
