I know this is a stupid thought, but what do you guys think would occur if one were to do a walking at New Moon. I figure a disaster. but what if one had crossed the Abyss/gone into GANZIR? Would the priest have the capabilities to take on a gate at the time of the Bitch of the Black Moon?

Greetings Brother Eabatu,

It depends on whether or not the gate has been previously walked. By Ganzir already 6 gates have been passed. The thing with the gates is that once opened properly on the full moon you can revisit them at any time. The phase of the moon does not matter to revisit a gate. That shamanic pathway or sorcerer’s astral link has already been formed. It is just returning to a place already known. This is an astral or mental trip. The ritual is not necessary to revisit a gate. However revisiting a gate is much more powerful if done on the full moon with the proper ritual.

I believe it would be damnably foolish to do the ritual at any time other than the full moon. The day before and after the full moon seem to work but I have noticed very minor complications even on these days. To do the ritual on the New Moon would be similar to sticking ones foot in the toilet while playing with an electric socket.

Remember that the amulet I believe on pg 11 protect only by the light of the Moon. On the New Moon or dark moon you have no protection. And so the gate demons will be eager to pounce on you. I think the major danger here is psychological forces. These forces are very hard to deal with on the Full Moon. So why would anyone dare to try this on the New or Dark Moon? It would be an act of arrogance. Perhaps it will not make you completely insane but certainly you will become quite a bit crazier.

The gates are dangerous. It is the brain that we are playing with here. Err on the side of caution if you err at all.

I suppose the important question would be. Has anyone actually done it at New Moon? Foolish Yes. Dangerous Yes. But has it been done and most important. What happened to those that did the dark walk? Questions questions.

PS- I hope that wasn't off topic. If it is, I humbly apologize.

Greetings gmcbroom,

I have done something similar. It is advisable to make sure that the Moon is in the sky during the time of walking. As the moon is a powerful amulet against the demons. By checking Moon Rise Moon Set times you can calculate the rare times when the moon is not in the sky during the night of walking. In an act of arrogance being highly pissed off at Azag Thoth I walked a gate with the Moon not in the sky. In my mind by walking with the Moon black as it was not in the sky was showing the Ancient Ones that they have no power over me. In hind sight it was foolish. I entered the gate and battled Azag Thoth. He nearly cut me in half which ended up causing physical injury to me. I barely beat him and proceeded to visit the Gate God, A detailed account of this you can find in my blog here on SM.

I believe that opening a gate on the New Moon would be about the same as opening the Gate on the Full Moon with the Moon not in the sky. If you have passed Ganzir Gate and at least spoken with Ninib I would expect that it would be an experience quite survivable. If you have passed only the lower gates I would expect that it would screw your head up. It is not difficult to get your head on backwards with the Necronomicon. It is not a toy. I have tried many experiments with it. Many of which ended badly. Only a few experiments actually paid off by which I learned some new technique. Perhaps it is a feeling of euphoria that I experience by exposing my self to danger. As I write this my kitten is chewing up a seal of Kutulu. A sign? Funny coincidence I suppose. After all the cat chews up anything that is not nailed down.

Personally I would not try this experiment. There are other things about the Gates worthy of investigation which would not be quite as dangerous.

Honestly, I was just curious of the possible uses of walking on New Moon, as a way to learn of the enemy and their strengths. As I have not done a walking at all, I KNOW not to try this. But down the road it might become neccessary to conquering certain internal demons that lie in wait. By demons I mean the primal aspect of the soul that is interfering w/ the souls Evolution at the most base level---the final link w/ Azag-Thoth and the mother Tiamat. The way I look at it, the internal demons are as much a part of you as your arms or legs, so one MUST take control of these demons and destroy the external demons. Its just a thought.......
