ANyone have any advice for coordinating the rider waite tarot deck with the Necro energies? I see Some semblance after some study with Crowleys Book Four, but not as many as I would like

If ur gonna work w/ the Necro I would HIGHLY suggest tossing that deck to the side and go get the Babylonian Tarot Deck. U will find many more correspondances w/ the deities and energies of the Necro w/ that deck. Check on Amazon.com for it.

Greetings,

Personally, I find the Rider-Waite deck to be nearly useless. Brother Eabatu makes a good suggestion in finding the Babylonian Tarot. However, i would suggest getting the Thoth Deck, (as designed by crowley), before moving on to any other deck.
It is the deepest, most profound of all the decks i've used. I've found that it prepares one for much deeper journeys into tarot decks better suited to ones own personal path. If you can effectively use the Thoth, then you can effectively use any other.
As for correspondences, it would be a books worth of typing.

I agree with the others in the sense that a Babylonian tarot deck would be more "in tune" with the energies from the Simon edition Necronomicon, but that really wasn't the question you asked.

Personally, I would use the deck normally within a circle with the watcher around you. Maybe use it to question things you summon forth or, even, the guardians of the gates. Maybe you can ask a certain God (Inanna, Marduk, ect., ect.) for help and to answer your calls/questions then use the tarot deck within the circle. Hell, maybe you could communicate with your Watcher by using the deck. The possibilities are endless.

I would suggest that, if you are going to use tarot with the Simonomicon, thatyou use your Waite deck until you have the money/the availability to go out and get a Babylonian deck.
