So someone I know who happens to be able to see aura's offhandedly told me of the gray darkish color surrounding my person. Upon further investigation of what a darker colored aura denotes, I wasn't very satisfied with the descriptions. There are positive and negative descriptions of the color as well as different ideas concerning what it's meant to indicate in the first place. Perhaps someone can explain the idea behind an "aura" and its color and what it might mean to possess a grayish one?

Something that I read that did cause some minor thought within me though I admit wasn't surprising was a description of blocked energies associated with the said aura color. I wondered if perhaps this could be an explanation towards my failed attempts at things like meditation, astral projection, etc. I used to think persistent was the key to my dilemma however that's come to another unfortunate close. If I can safely determine that my failures were even in part due to blocked energies and everything associated with such a status, how might I overcome this obstacle and finally be able to move on and away from this prolonged rut I've managed to remain in.

I would first ask you how you feel health-wise or overall emotionally. Are you healthy, energetic or are you tired all the time or have a pain or stress condition, etc. Are you usually content or are you usually depressed and debilitated? If you are a generally healthy and contented person, I would not pay much mind to the aura reader and also consider it a kind of vampirism on that person's part by telling you that your aura is "dark" --because it leads to undo alarm and disempowered feelings for you.

A muddy or brown or grayish looking aura or a "tight" aura can bode very bad health (indeed a brown or grayish could suggest grave and extreme ill health--that is, Are you bedridden? Do you have a terminal disease?) or emotional state--or it could simply reflect how the aura-reader is feeling or feeling about you. I've known many a person who believes s/he is very sensitive and can see auras etc. People that feel the need to interject their visions on everyone they meet in this regard are more hysterical (in the old psychiatric word sense) than "sensitive," in my experience.

How do you fix a dark aura? You address the problem related to it. Look at your physical and emotional life and make the necessary changes. Among other things, vigorous yogic-type exercises with breathing practices and thought transformation exercises will make for a bright and conspicuous aura.

Many many people "fail" at meditation and astral projection, etc. As for meditaiton, there are many different ways to do it. You need to find the one that is suitable. You can PM me about this. I have lots of experience and have written on the subject. Astral projection is another tricky technique that some people are "wired" (neurologically speaking) for and some are not. If you can get a handle on meditation, relaxation, and visualization techniques, you may get closer to it. Chakra meditations can help with working with "blocked" energies, but the real deal type of meditations are challenging and take time and patience--and I don't mean the mere practice--I mean what goes on in your life while you are doing the practice.

Do not let the aura "diagnosis" throw you off. Be patient and also ingenius and disciplined about your goals.

Be weary of what people tell you they see, self evaluate and look into yourself to guage whether it makes sence or not. Had an elder of mine, egyptian priest, tell me I had a "dark ancestor" proceeding to go into one about "did anyone tell you that you look like someone?" As though to match me up to his nightmareish tale of deceased and complaicent shells... knowing age gives youth a glow they feel but will themselves take years to know... did sence an envy on his part.

If you tend toward dark clothing change, wear light trousers, jeans, tops and shoes. It will uplift your mood and not give shadows so much to hide behind. Change of diet is also good.

As Mchawi has mentioned, be wary of what people tell you about yourself. Perhaps it is true, but I have known people to make a pronouncement on someone that was more inflated ego than truth. Generally a grayish energy denotes depression by the way, rather than being an indicator of any terminal illness. I thought that you should know that for your peace of mind. We all have areas in which our energy doesn't flow as well as it should. We all have our blockages. But in any case, if you feel that it is true here is a suggestion. You have mentioned that meditation and some other things you hadn't had much success in. Perhaps you are more the doer type than the sitting meditation type. There are a number of Qigong exercises that are active. Perhaps you are more of a physical kind of person, and these kinds of Qigong exercises may suit you better than sitting meditation. Plus it will help work through those blockages and get your energy flowing better.
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_quer...arch_type=&aq=0 Here is a link to You Tube in which I typed Qigong Exercises into the search engine. I have recently come to like You Tube because it is so accessable, and unlike with books, you can see exactly how the exercise is done. You can do the exercise along with the video. The first one at the top is Gathering Heaven Qi, a good basic exercise. There is a fair selection of basic exercises online.

I hope that helps.

Don't worry. It'll only seem kinky the first time.

I feel what happens in these circles, and it also happens in a lot of other intellectual circles is that in our search for meaning, we allow others and set paradigms to define and tell us what to do. It provides us with the shelter of a community, a home, a sanctuary, but it also strips us of our individuality as the subjects of the Aether. Do you feel happy inside? Are you satisfied with the way you are? And if so, then why does an Aura matter?

Does it in the end truly matter or come to a form of importance of what other sentients perceive you, if you within yourself are satisfied with yourself, and by proxy everything you do and feel?

I'll keep that in mind Kaboom13, for you may have a point.

I shall go ahead and peruse the link you've provided, Goibniu, and see where it leads me.
Your observation might be accurate after all and I probably would be better off doing something instead of merely sitting in one spot.

I almost always take an objective stance when being told of things, especially when it comes to something as personal as auras.
In turn I've also considered this persons ego and the like and completely agree with the suggestions and concerns those of you have shared.

You've all been quite helpful and I thank you all for your suggestions as they have been well appreciated!

Was probably seeing through the dark patch in his aura and commenting on yours .lol. People tend to project themselves onto others at times. Keeps the clan together.

Good luck.
