As many of you may know, thousands of years ago pharoahs and kings used to have personal high priests to carry out magickal workings on behalf of them due to the complexity and time of rituals, and as you know they were very rich and powerful.

Do you know where one could find such priests today?

I don't mean where are they on the astral plane, rather where could one find a modern practicing priest?

You local church will have a priest willing to perform certain ceremonies (prayers for the departed, baptism, wedding, funeral etc). Clairvoyants and Tarot readers advertise all over the net, but to be honest I suspect most (innot all) are fakers and bunko artists.

If you are trying to find a serious occult practitioner to perform rituals on your behalf then it is not something I am aware of being available. Someone with experience and expertise in occult practice will either be part of a group, and usually high ranking in it, or be a on a solitary path and so very hard to track down.

The cultural context has changed since the ancient civilisations. Mainstream churches have filled the gap, so your search will lead you there.

Greetings!
What part of the world are you in? I have a number of contacts in Australia/New Zealand and some in USA that are members of established Egyptian Temples. They are 'priests'....though Mediocracy has pointed out the contemporary stance. Beware of con artists.

Hi there

Yeah, I'm int he uk, so none of the regions you listed however if you know anyone in the UK that would be good.

Alternatively, I dont need to meet them directly, the internet has filled that gap nowadays!

Do you know of the Priestess who works at the Temple at the House of Jupiter?

Alas, no. She sounds to be related to a Roman Temple...? Mediocracy or Radiant Star would probably have more of an insight to things in the UK. What are your concerns?

I have had a bit of a search but am at a loss here.

You are most likely to meet a contact at a magick related event since most groups and practitioners are fairly insular and are unlikely to discuss it in the office lunch hour amongst the girlies chatting about their latest diet fads and the guys competing with each other re mortgage/car finances (IMG:style_emoticons/default/13.gif)

I think the search will have to start with general things in your area and hone in from there.

Research Kemeticism, reconstructionist Egyptian religion. There are various local temples associated with various types of Kemeticism(Kemetic Orthodoxy, the Living Nuhati, etc.).

thanks, i'll give it a go...

I'd love to re-create a huge egyptian temple in the uk, with various chambers to worship the dieties individually or a great hall for them all

dya think I'd get planning permission for a 20 acre pyramid? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yahoo.gif)

If you had the land and could claim it was your religion, it may be possible you know, it really might, might have to scale it down a bit though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)
