Hello (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I am writing about my experiences while meditating and, recently, even without meditation.

Some 5 years ago I was really into psionics. Reiki, meditation, ect. Sometimes, during meditation, I felt goose bumps. Pleasant feeling, as if a wave of happiness rushed through the body, starting from lower back and moving up to shoulders, then down the arms and up the neck. BUT. At that point the feeling was quite rare and really short.

Now, after 5 years of studying I'm slowly being drawn towards the psionics again.

The only difference is that this time the goose bump feeling can be induced even without meditation. I can Just call for the "feeling" and the goose bumps follow, again, rushing up my spine, then up my neck, down my arms, even down my legs and covers my head.
The feeling also is very intense. I feel the happiness and warmth, but now the goose bumps can be felt more clearly and this even gives empowering feeling, as thought as I had strength of some sort in me, but I just don't know how to fully use it..

It almost seems that with each time I learn more about it, learn more to control it and it gets more intense. At first I was learning to get these waves in a pulsing pattern. some few months ago i could get just a small wave or few small waves.
Now I can almost "blend" the waves together and they get WAAAAY more intense.

Once I had the most intense moment and suddenly My thoughts were completely blank, I felt as if at some point everything else didn't matter, the only thing was this intense feeling (now they are more like persistent feelings that come and pass, instead of waving across) and a thought, that this is a very important moment. I had a feeling this is the moment I have some kind of channel or that I finally have someones attention, so I asked for a guidance, but to be true, I was so overwhelmed by the feeling, that's simply first thing that came to my mind, because I just didn't know what to do. As if my mind was emptied by someone. My mind suddenly was like blank and pressed in a single point at the same time.

So, the big questions:
1) Have you ever had this experience (frequently and knowingly, everyone has had goose bumps);
2) Am I right and am I learning to control energies (chi, call it what u want, it's still a vibration)? I've had this feeling that what I am feeling is energy.
3) Do I simply continue to investigate the feeling and learn to control it or is there something I should know about all this? Like tips, warnings ect.

Thank you all very much and have a really nice day (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hi Bomnzay

Your description doesn't sound exactly how I would describe the awakening of sensitivity to energy/qi/chi/ki. But you do mention that it is a pulsation or comes in waves--which is right on. Probably you are feeling the superficial energies, the 'aura' perhaps. I'm coming at this from the perspective of someone who does Qigong. This is a discipline that uses meditation, postures, movements in order to promote the sensitivity, control, quality and strength of your Qi. There are books, DVDs, and You Tube videos that show some of the techniques.

Not everything on You Tube that comes up when you do a search for Qigong exercises is good, but it is free and easy to access. I find that Reiki teachings are very limited, but Qigong and Yoga are wide and fertile fields of study. A teacher is best, but books, forums like Taobums, You Tubes or buying videos can be useful. Do the research then put it into practice.

Don't worry. It'll only seem kinky the first time.
