I typically use the I Ching for divination, but a few days back, as I was browsing through a bookstore, I happened upon a tarot deck and immediately felt I had to have it. So I bought it, but when I opened the box I was a bit disappointed to find that it was a Marseilles deck, which doesn't have any illustrations on the minor arcana cards. Still, I feel like I'm supposed to have this deck. I spent some time reading up on interpretations of the cards when I found this article:
http://www.learntarot.com/journey.htmIt describes the major arcana cards and the order they appear in as a journey that the fool takes in order to attain enlightenment (The Sun) and fulfillment (The World). I find this idea very appealing for some reason. Is this a valid approach to the experience of enlightenment in the full sense of the word? And how would one go about path-working each card? I don't have any information on what path-working is or how it works, I've only found a few references to it on these forums.
Let me know what you think.
