Hello! I'm from Idaho, born and raised in a Mormon community (and yes I'm Mormon). I'm a Veteran from Operation Iraqi Freedom and still have all my toes and fingers, thank god. That was an interesting experience. I'm currently going to school studying Business Management. I suppose I'm here because I've always been fascinated by the occult, mysticism, UFO's; basically anything of the paranormal. Listening to Art Bell and George Noray on Coast to Coast AM for the past seven years has definitely planted its seed of interest. Anyway, I'm here because I want to learn more about Magick and the work of Aliester Crowley. I want to become more enlightened. I want to find and know what it is my will and soul needs. I want to find my purpose in life and I don't want to be "confined" by religious rules and regulations. Not saying there’s nothing wrong with that, but really- I never cared for being a "blind sheep."
And I think being a member with this forum will assist me in my journeys.

Have a good’n!

Thanks! Yeah, I'll be the first to admit that there is much that I don't know with regards to the discussions on this site. So unless the conversation of religion is brought up; I'll probably just stick with listening and asking a few questions now and than.

Mystic, btw, Mormonism is a religion that believes in Christ like all other Christian religions. It was founded by Joseph Smith in 1832, whom we believe to be the first prophet in this last dispensation. Many of our beliefs differ from other religions; like Catholicism (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mf_popeanim.gif) or southern Baptists. For Example, we believe in the bible- but we also believe in other scriptures: The Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price. I'd rather not try to explain much about it at this time, as there are many great sites out there, both for and against Mormonism. www.lds.org and www.mormon.org are the official sites. You can do a search for the rest. If you- or anyone else for that matter- has any questions feel free to ask! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Honestly speaking, I do think it is a good religion, I do have certain reservations and doubts as to why I'm not practicing Mormonism at this time; mostly just conflicts of interest. And I want to see what else is out there. I imagine some day I'll practice it again, but not at this time in my life.

Greetings Mormon,

Did you see the South Park episode on Mormons? I thought it was the best episode ever.

Later.

Yes, it was hilarious! They've done a few on Mormons, all entertaining. Did you watch the South Park premier of season 10 last night about the boys playing World of Warcraft? It was a good'n too. I laughed my ass off! Mostly because I have a friend who's life practically revolves around that game. He tries to get me to play it, but the game doesn't interest me.

Lol! Oh let me tell ya... they have!! Seriously, not so much... If they had, I doubt if I would be visiting this forum. And if they have, than at least I have an open mind with considering the alternatives.
