I'm a Taoist with a history of Shadowmancy. My girlfriend is a non-denominational Christian that follows the book of Ecclesiastes as her personal dictive in life.

Things could be better, but in spite of whatever other circumstances come into play so far in life with each other, we have never been happier. Every day is better than the former.

Do not judge others, and ignore the judgement of others. If you get hung up on whether or not someone is judging you for your beliefs, it's difficult to learn much about them, or to find out what they can teach you about yourself. The obvious exceptions are the individuals who have to take every subject and turn it into a religious conversion attempt. But, on the large scale, that's fairly uncommon. You have to run into the right people for that kind of thing.

Religion is part mythos/cosmology, and part culture. Having friends from a variety of religions can widen your perspective not just spiritually, but culturally as well. It's a good thing, I think, on the whole.

Ave

I have friends all over the place when it comes to beliefs and, in a way, it makes us stronger friends. There's always fun debates that always end up with us laughing and drinking.

In fact, if I avoided people that didn't have the same belief structure as me, then I would have to avoid nearly everyone.

But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.
-Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia, 1782

Substitute 'friend' for 'neighbour' and you've got my view. 'Nuf said.
