So upon doing further research into the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, I came across a website dictating a new method of the LBRP that would assist the practitioner in achieving even greater results. I can't imagine this is a very 'new' method anymore but I'm just now stumbling upon it and I only present it to all of you now under my curiosity, as it has struck upon several ideas I found questionable or lax in detail to begin with, prior to finding information that even addresses these points. I understand rituals have room for expansion/alteration as long as it provides a seemingly identical symbolism or feel to it in regards to what end results are desired. The "NBRP" goes further than that however suggesting incorrect operations applied in the original LBRP and provides methods to counter-act said issues. Before I go on to list some of the points made in the NBRP which stick out to me because of the sense it makes, I'd like to hear from others who've come across it and your opinions on both methods as well as why you've come to like one or the other. I thought I had a good understanding of the symbolism behind the gestures and orations used but I've unfortunately come to see that not only are there some elements within the ritual which are seemingly still vague to my mind but there are other aspects which could be implemented that I never even thought of. This leaves me a bit unsettled as, if I had performed the LBRP then come across the NBRP and acknowledged the changes and points it made, it would have made me feel as though my work was inaccurate and therefore meaningless in regards to how definite the symbolism should have been considered. Any info on this would be great. Thanks!

As a reference, here's the link that I came across:http://hermetic.com/osiris/nbrp.htm

The article intrigued me too when I read it.
I had a discussion with someone on another forum and he kinda made it clear to me that LBRP and NRP are different rituals in concept.

While NRP is strictly elemental in nature (godnames associated with elements and directions) , the LBRP-which derives from an old jewish prayer, is more of an adoration to the sun. The god names vibrated in LBRP correspond with various positions of the sun, i.e. YHVH --> sunrise , EHEYEH ---> sunset etc...

So far, from what I've read of the website, I like the NBRP much better than the LBRP. It makes much more sense.

This is super interesting~ just a question?

I've been doing some variant of this for a really really long time, except instead of invoking the sources of power, i've been evoking them (letting them, for a lesser word, possess me). Has anybody invoked and evoked these aspects? I'm curious about the general difference.
