72 Day Challenge Options

Over the next three months (or 72 days) I will attempt to summon the 72 demons of the Goetia, one a day, in order to establish communication. I will be starting today and will give an account of each evocation. I understand a great deal of preparation typically goes into these sorts of evocations but I would really like avoid unnecessary rituals. I hope for results worth discussing but will note each attempt regardless. Also I will make notes as I think of them under my most recent evocation. The notes will be enclosed with asterisks.

#1 Bael: I attempted to evoke Bael today. I tried to do the ritual without the long prayer/ callings that the Goetia recommends, and maybe I skipped something important because I didn't get any results that I noticed. I spent about half an hour trying to "call" out or something like that. I tried to call out in the astral to sort of pull him in but I don't think I was successful. I might come back to him if I have time later.

*In Aleister Crowley's Illustrated Goetia: Sexual Evocation, the author recommends meeting four requirements before attempting an evocation. They are: justification, will, emotion and courage. I will focus on meeting those requirements tomorrow.*

#2 Agares This morning I tried to evoke the duke Agares, a demon which supposedly causes earthquakes while riding a crocodile. I think I was partly successful because I had been trying to call him into sight when I said "I am here". I had thought it and thought it was weird, and then I spoke it because I had been saying what I was thinking for the last half hour but I think I realize how these thing mentally talk now. Keeping up communication was difficult. I hardly know how to do real evocations aside from simply going through the motions. Anyway, I actually got that sort of voice thing to talk more, although it just said something about my ceremony being "mutilated". Now I was happy about suddenly understanding how these "voices" sound that I had always read about but I don't enjoy demons using the word "mutilated" in any context. I also want to hear physical sound instead of this disembodied mental voice.

The whole evocation only took about 40 minutes but I wasn't able to get anything after that. I made a few hopeful demands of receiving several thousand dollars today and learning French faster, but I'll believe it when I see it. Maybe an earthquake will tear open a bank on my way to class today. I hope tomorrow's evocation will be clearer.

* Tomorrow I will make note of the time so that I can cast a horoscope to better understand what is going on. If I do this with several evocations, I might be able to determine reoccurring shortcomings on my end."

No updates? I'm really interested in your results.

^ Yeah I should update this. I've been working with this for a while but I failed on my timeline. My problem is that often I don't get results so I try again instead of moving forward which slows me down. I have a notebook and I'm glad you posted because I do want to update this I did have some progress.

Its too bad, that we can't follow along as you go (repeats and all). I read this, and was intrigued.
