Haven't slept in twenty hours, so goofy question, but:

If you were stranded on a desert island (I know, it's as bad as a knock knock joke), what's the one occult-oriented book you would HAVE TO HAVE with you. Say, you're there the rest of your life. Okay, in that case, make it three books. Just curious...

Mine -

Hey... this is hard...

Okay, I have to have correspondences, so either 777 or Magick in Theory and Practice.

For three?

Same as above, plus--

Book of Thoth
My Thoth tarot deck (I do consider it a book! -- I' have to paint my own on shells if I didn't have a deck with me on that island!)
(If the deck doesn't count, then...

Wouldn't want to be without my Necronomicon. Of course, a book on how to survive on a desert island might come in handy.

Hmmm...
Franz Bardon's, Initiation Into Hermetics...if one book
add Frasier's(sp?), The Golden Bough for a second
and, this is tough...probably Wilhelms translation of the I Ching for a third!
It's a total mind screw 'cause I'd like other books besides occult tomes. A minimum of at least one hundred... besides....if you needed a fire... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flame.gif) *shudder* LOL! And about 6 kilos of black Nepalese hash. *grin* oh...this is getting out-of-hand... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sun.gif)

If only one book - probably the Sepher Yetzirah in the Aryeh Kaplan Translation - that would keep anyone busy for several lifetimes
If three then the others would need to be the Holy Books of Thelema and Gems from the Equinox.

As a secondary question - if you could only take one magickal tool/weapon - what would it be?

Greetings,

Seriously I think my top pick would be How to survive when stranded on a desert island. My second choice would be How to escape from a desert island. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/gleam.gif)

If I had to choose an occult book I would also bring my own occult note book.

Ave

I would go for the "Holy Bible" for one.
For the second, "the Book of the Law".
And the third will have to be "Liber Null and Psychonaut"
