I have just been looking at a preview of this wonderful programme on dragons, it is on Animal Planet, so I don't know how many of you will be able to view it, but if you can, it is excellent; I saw this programme on UK TV over the weekend (I presume it to be exactly the same one) and found it very informative.

This link shows you severl menus where you can look at different dragon types and read a little introduction about them.

Enjoy

Oh I was just talking about that in another thread, so it was the animal planet and not the discovery channel.

Oh yes, funny this thread was resurrected, I came across my memo on my PC for the programme only yesterday lol

It was really good and the way it was narrated made it exciting, of course, they were talking dinosaurs I suppose not astral dragons, but nevertheless, I enjoyed it and I think its worth getting if you like science made easy type presentations, well biology made easy at any rate lol

Looking at the website examples of the Dragons, it looks as if the programme is a spin-off, or an homage to, a fantasy documentary filmed earlier, called The Last Dragon. That was a wonderful programme, during which a paleontologist was called to investigate an unusual animal specimen found in Romania, and during the course of his investigation, he realised that it was a Dragon- and went on to explain how these creatures evolved since the time of the Dinosaurs, and gave rise to the legends we know now, such as the Forest Dragon, Marine Dragon, and the Fire-Breathing Dragon. The science used also managed to explain how it would be possible for Dragons to talk, breathe fire and many of the things that legend ascribes to them- beautifully imagined, and so believable that you wanted it to be real!
