Then you relax, and let it take you.

You may feel as if your skin become galvanized. Try to channel the energy instead of it just frying you.

I want to go to a place in anime so I can be happy.

You'd rather be attacked by giant samurai robots who slaughter your whole village?
Raped by penis-demons? Exposed to radiation that turns you into a mutant jellyfish?

Anime is often violent and perverse.

How about the Smurfs instead?

Samurai robots? OK.

Penis demons? That's a new one on me. LOL (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Heh, I forgot to ask this too.

Djinn would not be able to help my initial goal (first post) either, huh? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Anime/manga is a huge category, granted, the giant robot stuff etc is more common even among anime for children than among "Western" animated programmes for a similar age range but the other stuff is for niche adult audiences.

Going by the same logic, you're putting the Smurfs, Tin-Tin and Asterix in the same category as stuff like Preacher, V for Vendetta and Watchmen or even some of the darker-themed releases of superhero comics.

Detraque, we can understand you want this badly, and that you have done your fair share of homework, but Djinn will not have anything to do with this. Nor will Goetia. Or Kabbbalah. Or anything else.

I have a real answer but I can't post it in here u_u Its not like I believe i have the secret words to unlock the gates from heaven and hell and so
Its just that, just people with the same wish can understand and can actually seek for an answer
unlike people who just wants the answer to know they have it.
thats why, if you have a myspace account or something let me add you
haha to be honest, i never expected to read that question in here, its not stupid or crazy
its just that i've thought the same for so long

Okay...

Just an update on my little quest.

I made my own spell yesterday, having used a headband (yes, it's a Naruto one) as a catalyst to maybe transport myself to that world once I put it on.

It involved burning my wish written on a piece of paper, along with a tissue that I had cried into (yes, that sounds weird, but I was fighting with my mom yesterday and thought it could come in handy), and a few dead roses and carnations.

I let it burn throughout the house, then put it out. I had no idea if it worked or not.

After the spell, I began experiencing headaches... But I doubted that had anything to do with it.

A few hours later, I saw two people dressed in Akatsuki uniforms, but they were on a cop show on the Discovery Channel??? -shrug-

I thought that was a simple coincidence... That is, until I put on the headband before I went to sleep.

The moment I put the headband on, there was a sudden power outage. I'm not exaggerating... I literally mean, the MOMENT I put it on.

(It's weird ESPECIALLY since it was not raining or storming at all. I live in Texas, it was hot and dry.)

I jumped up from my bed, but the outage lasted only for five seconds.

I later found out on Facebook that the outage had affected almost everyone on my side of the suburbs.

I don't understand... This can't just be a coincidence, can it?

Psychosomatic infuences are pretty awesome. Being hysterical and acting upon hysteria causes pretty psychosomatic effects. Your very conscious existence binds you to this world. There is nothing you can do to escape the present.

I suppose...

Still, I feel kinda cool knowing I may have caused a sudden blackout in my city.

What could that mean for my potential in magic?

(I rarely do spells or anything like that, I just thought this one might work).

And does it explain the sudden splitting headache???

As common as any sentient. All sentients who have will have equal potential. The only difference is how polar or obsessed an individual is. The rate of success is dependent upon wether or not the currents of the world fine it within their own interests, and trust me, we have to ****ing clue what they might be interested in.

I rarely think about our oil problem, I just thought that thinking about it might cause an oil rig to explode.

Well, it does, you're growing obsessive with the idea of leaving your body. Its just like willing zebras to stampede across Fifth Avenue.

Detraque, ignore kaboom if his posts seem a bit fatalistic to you. Don't let him get to you.

As I said earlier in this thread, astral projection is the only way to visit other worlds, until humans figure out a way to tear wormholes (which probably won't happen within the next 1,000 years).

I pose a challenge for you, Detraque. Instead of visiting other worlds to escape, visit other worlds to learn. Learn something from each world you visit, bring the concept here, and improve this one. Or, visit other worlds, learn something to help yourself, and live by that same ethic in this world, too. This world is your home. We have a mix of everything here. If you want better, make better. There's no rule of going elsewhere for the tools. That's what magick is about (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I'm going to say something that may be a bitter pill.

I know your dad is a shrink, but he sounds like a lousy shrink, or at least just a very terrible father. but please bear with me, and just let me know if i'm making sense here:

1) There are many ways to escape your current home life situation.
2) teleporting to a new reality/universe is not real high on the list of ones that are likely to work.
3) teleporting to a reality based on a cartoon ("anime" i know), is not real high on the list of possible universe destinations.
4) your situation is genuinely dire and serious.
5) your plan of escape is as unrealistically unattainable as you could possibly make it.

conclusions.
A) you recognize the need to leave home.
B) you don't want to take practical steps to make that a likely to *really* occur.
C) you don't really want to leave, even though you feel like maybe you should.

I don't think this is neurotic. I think its more a fairly normal sort of escapist fantasy, and its driving motivation is an approach-avoidance conflict with leaving your home. I doubt anyone else in your position would think/feel much different than you. You're in a bad situation, nothing wrong with your head except that you're you're running from your problem psychologically because you feel like you can't really confront the problem directly. If it's any consolation, I've done that myself a fair bit, especially when i was younger.

You're really not ready to leave home, deep down. but it may become necessary.
You have my greatest sympathy, truly. i really know what you're going through first hand.
All I can say is, "hope for the best, but plan for the worst." and by plan I do mean looking at work options, thinking about what moving out would entail, considering options like the military, etc. Planning for it is not moving out, it's just being careful. don't be afraid to at least plan for that possibility.
if you're not old enough to move out effectively, then consider talking to a teacher, a school counselor, or Child Services about how your home life is going.

*hugs*
Kate

True... I think that may have been what I actually wanted anyway. I want to learn from the other worlds, while having friends here and there. :3

Expect nothing, or you will get caught up in the future and not pay attention to the present. Just do the practice diligently, do it because you enjoy it, do it because you believe in it. Don't wait for results, don't wait for it to happen.
