Does anyone know where I can get the original English translated Necronomicon?. I understand that it has been translated into English though I do not know which version out it is of the many I come across on websites such as amazon and ebay. I will give huge money for it and will reward the person who leads me to the original. Do not reply on the forum, but reply via email --- [email protected]

Thank you

Please refrane from posting duplicate threads in the future. I'm leaving this thread open but the other one in the book review forum is locked.

As to your question the Necronomicon exists in English and it can be found at Amazon.com just click here
I also found a pdf verson. You can check that out here

If you want you should check out your local book store. Most any barns n noble, boarders or hastings has it on hand. You can get the spell book. But all it is is just a copy of the book of 50 names found in the necronomicon. I guess it has some lore to it but the Nec it self is what you want.

For furthing reading check out the Necronomicon forum Use our site's search feature and do a search of your own on google and amazon.

As far as a Lovecraftian Necronomicon goes there is no such thing. Also do not buy the George Hay Necronomicon I compare it to used toilet paper. That book is a total fraud.

However the Simon Necronomicon is excellent. Seriously though do not use pdf to try and work these spells. $6.99 at Barnes and Nobles is a very samll price to pay for a book that in itself is a powerful amulet against evil.

I would also recommend the Simon Necronomicon. Although I don't know if it's the earliest translation.

Actually as far as a Lovecraftian Necronomicon goes one does not exsist. The Necronomicon was translated from Latin. The manuscript is from about 600 AD. So it is about 1400 years old. You will not find an older translation of a book called Necronomicon.

I followed one of the links to amazon.com in this thread. There is one book that looks promising. It costs $600 USD.
It also says the author is Simon. I believe the reason it is so expensive is because it is in fact one of the original translations from the 1980s.
