Hello all! I've been experimenting for a while with a new practice (to me) involving making regular offerings to the Spirits and Powers of various spheres which I work with on a semi-regular basis. It's a fairly simple practice, but it has made it much easier to work with these powers. Initially I was making offering using my altar, but during an offering and meditation session a couple of weeks ago I had asked the spirits of Mercury and Jupiter if there was anything that I could offer that would be more meaningful to them.

Their response was that I should create a table specifically for them. You might say it's a bit like having a special dining set for specific honored guests. I thanked them, and promised to make such a table as soon as possible, and asked from them if there were any specific requests as to the nature of the table itself. What I was given was a pattern which serves to make it easier for the spirits to access the offerings, as well as making it easier for them to assist me should I require it.

I just finished the table, which is in place at my office, and already we have seen a drastic change at work - new clients every day, people are talking about us, we had a surprise visit from a fellow chamber of commerce member who specifically asked if I would be at the chamber meeting this tuesday and offered to introduce me to a few people who he thinks will be able to refer a lot of new clients (we're working on targeting local nurses, teachers, and public service employees; I'm meeting with the director of the local hospital, the superintendent of schools in my county, and the city services director.)

I am offering to make tables like this for the members here first - I am working on a website offering these and other magical products, tools, implements, and services that it is not yet completed, at www.TheUrbanMage.com - feel free to take a look, but it's not yet finalized, so some of the look will change.

I can make tables for a broad range of spirits or a specific set - the one shown below is a table specifically for Mercury and Jupiter. The tables are tooled using a consecrated dremel only ever used for magical purposes, and your table will be tooled using a bit specifically acquired and consecrated for this use only. Elemental tables will be created during the appropriate tattva tides, planetary tables during the day and hour of the planets, and combination tables will be made at multiple times, each symbol set tooled at the appropriate day and/or hour. I can consecrate the table afterwards if asked, for no extra charge, but I do feel it's better for the magician to consecrate the table themselves. All tables will be provided with a white linen covering for both transportation and storage when not in use - although I recommend setting it up as a standing altar of it's own if you have the space.

I work primarily with hebrew names, but I'm familiar with the traditions and associations from most magical currents and can craft your table according to your tradition. I will only consecrate in hebrew, nordic, and greek currents personally, because these are the currents that I have personal connections to.

Tables made on pressed hardwood ply like the one shown below are $50, made on hardwood proper are $80, and made in marble or granite are $100+s&h for a 1'x1' table and $200+s&h for 2'x2' - a bigger table is really not necessary and will be too heavy to handle properly. For an additional $20 I can tool holes and provide table legs so that the table will stand on it's own - I place mine on my altar when making offerings, and wrap it in linen when not in use.
