I always suggest to people to spend a whole bunch of money on any item that gives you supernatural powers. I once bought a different type of 'god helmet' (god condom) and I've never turned back, in fact it helped my sex life extraordinarily and my girlfriend is much happier as a result, this 'god helmet' gave me supernatural powers in the bedroom and I started doing things she's never seen or experienced before, in fact she said quite a few times "oh god!"

You know what would really be cool-- If people would do research before they make stupid comments --- Although this isnt the actual helmet -- there has been much research and studies on this helmet -- type God Helmet in youtube and you will see some info --
Also I never said that this helmet gives you supernatuaral powers-- you just made an assumption without doing any research ==

I understand the experiments were never replicated and that there is some question as to the double blindness of their method. Based on that alone I would be wary. However, additionally the degree of the magnetic pulses employed seem also to be substantially smaller than that necessary to penetrate the cranium and have a pronounced effect on the brain. The only way to fing out for sure would be to try it, but I do wonder at the end purpoe it would serve.

Peace

I've worn the Shakti helmet. It does affect your mind. Mostly, in ways you don't want.

Most of the waveforms used are recordings from epileptics. The effect on me was to induce dissociation and emotional instability. This is NOT good training for magick. The instability from each use of the helmet with the epileptic waveforms took a few days to wear off. Some of the subjects had what appear to be astral experiences, alien encounters and feelings of entities standing behind them. I didn't. Some didn't seem to ever get back to normal.

One of the "experimental" waveforms, which they called the "consciousness frequency" and which wasn't from an epileptic recording, taught me that "I" am not one, isolated entity in my mind, but that there are many "decision making" and "action causing" functions going on simultaneously, all previously unconscious. After the experience with the helmet I still can consciously see it happening if I pay attention to my thoughts and actions. That was very helpful in later meditation and to me was worth all the temporary instability the other experiments caused.

Your choice.

That's thinking with Chaos.

That's thinking with Chaos.

What the chaoates miss is the fact that it's always there. They talk about practicing different ways of looking at things but they don't, really; practice just reviews ideas already in your conscious mind.

Look at it this way. You're not like the driver of a car, with one decision maker controlling a mechanism; you're like the captain of an enormous ship, with thousands of crew you usually don't even realize are there. Most of the details of your actions and even your thoughts are supplied by that crew. The "me" you identify with gives orders and has veto power but doesn't usually perform the action or originate the thought. Kind of hard for most people to believe if you haven't experienced it, but it's real.

And our body is made up of systems and cells acting both discreetly and as a unit. I wonder at the subtle divisions of the spirit as well. This experience supports the emanationist cosmology, one becoming many, each degree operating "on it's own volition" but under the guidance and direction of the next highest degree on the ladder.

Peace

I believe you're correct, especially as to spirit. Meditation in the Buddhist tradition is considered to be either stilling your mind and focusing on one object (jhana) or bringing full unattached attention to the "rising and passing away" of sensation/emotion/thought (vipissana). In both cases there is considered to be one point of view which, through gradual training, becomes focused and unattached. Since the greater self is all parts of "you", including the unconscious, I believe meditation is not only training for the "captain of the ship" but includes the whole crew, bringing the entire system up to a higher level.
