Hello all,

I stumbled across this site googleing stuff about magick and I have to say that I really like this forum. I'm a complete newb to magick but I've been interested in it for awhile. I started a last year with Modern Magick but my school work caught up with me. Looking back, I think I tried to do to much and yearned for concrete results too fast. Unfortunately, I'm unemployed right now but I've decided to use my newfound free time to devote more time and energy to my study of magick. This time I think I'm going to take it slow, do some more reading, and figure out exactly what I want from magick and what path I want to take.

Right now I'm reading Magick Without Tears. I'm pretty sure I'm being drawn toward Ceremonial Magick. As a lifelong on-again, off-again Catholic I think I kinda like the rituals involved with Ceremonial Magick.

I guess now it's time for the personal info. I'm a 26 year old male college student. I am currently studying Economics and Mathematics and have a degree in Business Administration. I own my own dojo and teach Shorin-ryu Karate-Do.

If you want to know more about me, just ask. Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank you !

Hi. Nice to meet someone studing the same way. I think that it's good idea to go on a bit slower than it is said in the book, but you should never skip practice. You may spend month for every next rite. This way you won't need to keep attention on learning new rites so often and you can spend that time on reading books. Just never skip practice, 'cause the knowledge is easy to gain, but to get power you have to practice for years. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
