We've shared a poll here in this forum about Your Favorite Tv Series which was quite an enjoyable read in the past. But it was not really up-to-date with a plethora range of available shows right now and what's coming in the future. For this reason, I'm starting a new broader topic dedicated for this here.

What is the current TV show you're watching, which channel, why, what is it about and whatever else about the show you wanna share or discuss about.

Dragon's Den is currently on the top TV show on my watch list so much that I paid someone to burn a copy of the full episodes and have them sent it to me. I first watched the Canadian version I guess on BBC Knowledge, but then they changed it to UK version http://www.bbc.co.uk/dragonsden/ which I'm currently watching up to session 6. Awesome business show and if you have some entrepreneurial spirit in you then I guess you'll love to watch this one!

What is it about?
QUOTE
Entrepreneurs pitch for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.
The contestants are people who have what they consider to be a viable and potentially very profitable business idea, but who lack funding. They pitch their idea to five rich entrepreneurial businesspeople, the eponymous "dragons". They have, before the show, named an amount of money that they wish to get, and the rules stipulate that if they do not raise at least this amount from the dragons, they get nothing. In return, the contestant gives the dragons a percentage of the company's stock, which is the chief point of negotiation.

Once the contestant has made their presentation, the dragons then probe the idea further, often revealing an embarrassing lack of preparation on the part of the contestants or uncovering troubling facts, and consequently rejecting the investment. It is common in a show to see five or six ideas and only one (or possibly none) that attracts the dragons' money.
What I loved about the show is that I find often myself relearning things about business and entrepreneurship from it.

Can't wait to see Shark's Tank which is an upcoming US version of the original Dragon's Den.

Anyone here loving this show too?

Terminator - The Series. (actors could be more gritty)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0851851/

Superman (Smallville)

http://www.cwtv.com/shows/smallville

Avatar, The legend of Aang. Classic stuff even inspirational at times, the bad guys characters are brilliant and the comedy and expressions are on point even if its meant for kids, plot is based on the chinese red state taking Tibet and chasing the Dali Lama, a disturbance in the elemental equilibrium of things.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avatar:_The_Last_Airbender

Ghost in a Shell series. Another classic, the second film wasn't too good though, too much computer graphics, prefer my anime hand drawn, the first film is a classic, very much philosophical as anime tends to be. The series is just as good as the (first) film, well worth watching.

Dresden files Have only seen part of one episode and hope to buy the series on DVD, comes on too late at night for me to watch but from what I've seen its really good.

http://www.scifi.com/dresden/

Dragons den is good as well, so is Grand Designs and Mythbusters. Shame the anime channel on sky isn't too good, keep showing re-runs of Cow Boy Bebop in bad quality. Other than that I tend to keep away from the Tv and try to spend the time reading instead, best to get good series on DVD.

Anime kicks ass.

Peace.

Avatar is the only thing I watch lately, at least it was until the series ended here. I have yet to find anything mainstream worth watching yet, but thankful masterpiece theater is new every other week. Although I might find something here.

Cosmic consciousness is devoid of diversity; yet the universe of diversity exists in notion....
We contemplate that reality in which everything exists, to which everything belongs,
from which everything has emerged, which is the cause of everything and which is everything....
The light of [this] self-knowledge alone illumines all experiences. It shines by its own light.
This inner light appears to be outside and to illumine external objects.

Laugh all ya' want: i've been watching "I wanna' work for Diddy" on MTV.

It's the personalities and the way they clash, I find that very interesting to see how it develops. I like to forecast and make predictions based on patterns in personalities witnessed.

I find that kind of viewing similar to the anticipation of patterns in Magick.

Another way to study.

My favorite show on currently is Friday Night Lights. The first season of the show was a really interesting portrait of small town life in Texas, and the way that football served as a microcosm for the characters' aspirations and dreams. The second season had a lot of issues, but the past two seasons, particularly this year have been fantastic.

I'm also liking a bunch of other shows...

Parks and Recreation - The funniest comedy on TV, a fantastic cast and a good mix of goofy humor and enough emotional sincerity to keep it grounded.

30 Rock - Not as good as the first couple of seasons, but still consistently funny.

How I Met Your Mother - I had some major issues with the way the Robin/Barney story was handled, but the show is still funny. That said, I wish they went for a bit more real emotion sometimes and less goofiness.

I'm looking forward to a bunch of shows starting up soon, Lost, Big Love and Caprica in particualr.

I don't own a television, however I do obtain collections of series.

My favourite one at the moment HAS to be The IT crowd. "Hello IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again?" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rofl.gif) Being an ex-IT support person it hits SO close to home!

I'm also slowly getting through house. I love it... except I end up crying in EVERY episode (maybe I'm TOO sympathetic!)
