When you dream like that it is indicative of your mind sorting out and digesting all your day's experiences. The rushed nature and unrelated sequencing are tip offs. Most likely those symbols got dredge up from some long forgotten history class. Try to ignore them, if become fixated on them they will continue to show up over and over because that is what is on your mind. By ignoring them you set of an experiment.
Yes true but its hard to ignore something you are curious on. I'm aware of why I dream many dreams but every now and then I get an odd one(symbol) that makes me wonder. The part where I see my cat I can understand as with the running and the dog and tiger. But its the mirror that mainly makes me wonder where it came from. I've only known of the mirror from a cartouche tarot deck I bought about 20 years ago and I haven't thought of that symbol since about then. And I don't recall what the meaning of the card was. I would have to look for the book in order to find it(so I'm not even sure where it is).
And I'm not sure what you mean by rushed nature but I thought the sequencing was related with what info I could find afterwards on Hathor.

Symbols that are meaningful will continue to show up in key positions of important dreams - the ones where you wake up and think, "OK something is in there." It is a little hard to describe the nature of a truly meaningful dream. They are not confused, nor are they complex, mostly they are short and depict a distinct event. This dream will be clear and memorable. If the Eye Of Horus or Mirror Of Hathor show up in that kind of dream, they have a useful meaning worthy of investigation.
I will have to disagree with the complexity and length of the dream indicating if a dream is meaningful or not. To me this dream above was kind of short and not complex but to someone else it might be long and complex. Also sometimes parts can be confused after waking, so me not being 100% sure a certain scene was in the correct order I don't believe makes the whole dream a confused one. I understand the types of dreams you mean but I don't believe this would be considered one. This dream was quite clear and memorable.

The better one is at lucid dreaming the more this kind of dream occurs, but most dreams are fantasy or routine cleaning. When lucid dreaming becomes second nature you can also go looking for meaningful encounters with your subconscious.
I probably should've given some background. I've been lucid dreaming for 20 yrs now. Its one of my main hobbies. So I'm aware when a symbol is different for me or where they generally come from and I'm also aware of the residue. That's why the running and shifting for example is not from something I've watched on tv. It's because I learned to run like about 20 yrs ago and it shifted me, so I have run like that for many years so now its almost second nature. So I generally find myself running naturally on all fours during dreams and mostly that then triggers me into going lucid because I'm aware of the impossible action done. So sometimes if I can catch my reflection I look to see what I am. The tiger was something I had dreamt about on and off in the last few weeks coming to me in a normal dream. The last dream I had it was close enough to touch and I was fearful but in the end it was friendly. So I think that's where the idea to shift into tiger was from but I don't know where tiger was actually from.
Anyway its mainly the mirror I'm curious on. Thankyou for your thoughts though.
