Our Own Chat-room, Chat-room for Sacred Magick Forums Options

Having a chat-room for 'Sacred-Magick.com/forum' would serve lot many purposes. Either it can be creatively designed independantly only for us or can be created on the IRC network. Advantages are obvious : interacting with co-members, exchanging of views & ideas, resolving any issues et cetera.

So far I have had to dump 2 replies to this thread into the SMF rubbish tip. If anyone has something worthwhile to say in reply to this idea then post it.

I think it's an excellent idea! We should make a poll about it.
After being here for quite some time, I would very much like to get to know the people behind the posts on this forum. We all know it can be arranged this way or the other, but it all depends on the popularity of the idea of course.

Being new, I do not expect my opinion to have much importantce, but I think that is a great Idea, it is oftin easyer to convey ideas in a chat format. Well that is my two cents.

It is my experince with webmastering that gives me the right to say that chat rooms are very valubale communication tools.

It would also be a help for those of us who are forced to do magick in secret, and fool our parents by saying it simply a gaming chat room (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

So magick is a seperate part of your life?
Magick is crossing the road. Magick is growing a plant. Magick is listening to the wind in the trees. Magick is the ebb and flow of energy all around us. If you really do want to follow the shamanic path think less of magick being something you do and more about being attentive to life.

For the last little while, I've been considering magick as the method according to which I engage life.

I think having a chat room that we could access through this website would be great. There's often a big difference between talking about a topic through posts, and doing so in a more "live" medium.

Try this for now: http://sacred-magick.com/chat/phpMyChat.php3 I never use it so I have no idea how it would work, but give it a go anyway.

Register, select and use "SM Chat" public chat room from the "Select a chat room" option and then click "chat" button.

Well, it works!

Now all it requires is some people. Or at least a spellbegging bot....

lol I wish I know how to create a bot there so anyone waiting for anyone can chat with the bot rofl

The chatroom has to be opened by someone in the group page, and then it can be reached by several of the Instant Messaging programs. Yahoo! Messenger is a bit tricky nowadays, since with it you have to be invited by someone already in the room, but then you can add it in your favorites.

When I am on mIRC, I will open an IRC channel at DALnet.

type /join #sacred-magick

Now we can see if anyone here really wants to chat.
