Who celebrated Samhain?

Did you use this time to do anything special like throw a party or leave some things behind you?

Was it special for you and why?

HI Radiant Star ...

No ritual this Samhain. No party. Just a wonderful awareness that the veils between the two worlds WAS extremely thin this year. More than in previous years.

At 12:15 am NZ time I began mirror scrything ... and for the next hour I was treated to a wonderful display of non-human and ex-human entities on my face and shoulders.

Conversations within my consciousness were very enlightening.

Yes, Samhain this year was excellent. Days later I met with a working Druid Chief here in Hamilton and that too proved enlightening.

How was yours?

Hey! This life is just a dream. As in any dream the sleeper can assume control. Magic is gaining that control and using that awakening to full advantage

Married for life, to my devoted wife, who I have neglected recently but will do no more..........

Opposite to me then, I never celebrate it unless I go to the All Souls Day service in church.

This year, I decided to do a little remembrance of our deceased cats and loved ones which started with an altar more for initial focussing than anything else:

. . . and ended with a CM ritual and some Tarot work; of course, I cannot show you the end result as that bit is a work in progress.

I took a walk through the graveyard and left some offerings (I hope they like smarties and pretzles LOL). Then went home and setup a large alter to honour my ancestors and my dead friends. It was very nice and very peaceful. One of my roomates came down near the end of it and found it so moving that he joined in (well ok the fact that the feast aspect contained lasagne might have helped LOL). Was very nice and very peaceful. I them lit a fire in the wood stove and did some skrying. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
