Other than IBUprofen, try some meditation excesses. I am rather bad at healing, but pain management is something of a hobby of mine. I like to concentrate on the pain until it is the only thing I feel, at witch point other sensations contrast the pain (as apposed to the other way around). In effect you use normal sensations to distract you from pain rather than pain distracting you.
-edit- I just noticed that this is posted in witchcraft and the first two responses are energy work and mediation. So here is a old herbal brew for pain relief. Takes a bit of work and leaves you with a light head but it was strong enough to help a broken toe once.
tincture of white willow bark (1oz) ginger root shredded (2oz) St. John's wort (.5 oz if shredded or 20 drops if oil) Chile oil (10 drops), Licorice root (1.5 oz shredded). Mix all dry ingredients and boil into a thick tea, then strain and add wet ingredients. Take 1 table spoon with a glass of water every three to four hours.

--------------------
Cosmic consciousness is devoid of diversity; yet the universe of diversity exists in notion.... We contemplate that reality in which everything exists, to which everything belongs, from which everything has emerged, which is the cause of everything and which is everything.... The light of [this] self-knowledge alone illumines all experiences. It shines by its own light. This inner light appears to be outside and to illumine external objects.
